i give substancer rom a try, paired up with abyssnote 3.4.

is it necessary for me to update google search? cos it says not signed properly when i do...

quite annoyed and disappointed with the note build and quality... i just have to rant again.

2 days back, i was using the phone while it was being charged. there was the usual 'screen sensitivity' issue -- very obvious if you use swype.

anyway, i noticed the screen flickering quite often and an apps was trying to run in the background... notification bar showed driving mode was on. WTF?!? turned it off... and 15seconds later, it would come on... the screen would go to voice talk/ command screen... double press the home button also not working properly...

restarted the phone and it was still the same... screen still flickering and going into drive mode...

then i suspected something. unplugged the USB cable. all the 'problems' disappeared. somehow, the phone was detecting the cable as a usb car dock?!? it's the original charger + cable.

yes another poor quality accessory. already it gives me hissing sound... but now died on me?!? i wonder if i can claim warranty on this.

now have to use the usb cable from the sgs2. actually, i find the quality of the usb cable from sgs2 to be much better. there's even a bulge on the micro usb end of the cable so you'd know which way to plug in the cable, in case you're in the dark, etc... no such thingy with the one that came with note.

That is a very good rom, can say is the best of roms close to stock rom without any fancy tweaks n themes. I can say is very stable n reasonable battery life. Coupled it with abyss 3.4 kernel you will see improved bootup time and almost immediate unlock from lockscreen
With abyss kernel with setcpu, you can set profilez downgrading cpu speeds n even undervolt across all cpuspeeds these giving better improved battery usage.

yeah u need to send it to service... the motherboard will get to be changed... as with mine

I'm currently on RocketROM v19. The percenetage of my battery is from 100% to 1%, what is "GPS" that is keeping my phone from sleeping? I have turned off my GPS but it still appears on the kernel wakelocks.

GPS - your navigation apps, Gooogle Maps - make sure you exit it properly from the app once used. If you are not using GPS - disabled your location settings

Trace down to any of your apps that required access to location. Your extremely unbelievable high of 16 hours GPS always on is simply frightening.

Bro ur phone already reach for 1d 18h, just ignore la that gps? I dont think there  r many note user can last for 1day of their battery life. My note only half day. Well but for me actually not the only battery life im concern but the function of the phone, by disable many of note funtion then note will no more become a smartphone.

Well the batery comsum is depend on our usage, like email (how frequent we set to check new email, how many email we set in phone.

But u may check this apps too becoz this apps also using gps.
Wikitude, camera, whatsapp, banjo, or maybe its auto active becos of facebook checkin or foursquare. Maybe i also dnt know. Hehe.

Not sure abt whatsapp or email, but Facebook uses GPS. So once u post a status or anything, they will attach ur location to ur status. You can always don't give permission to Facebook to use ur gps

I think you are the 4th user who said it hang using my settings. I have no issue at all. Switch off reboot phone n immediately uninstall setcpu. If phone continual reboot than restore backup from recovery which i hope you have done before tinkering with such stuffs

anyone can share out their average temperature and ram in use ?

By rooting can we delete the bloatwares and tweak the call history to call only?

These 2 pesky stuffs has been visually torturing me lol

quite cold yours one..using wat rom yea ? I dont like the heat generated by the phone everytime I put it inside my pocket
