edited. have to restructure ur issue first. u wanna start with rooting or edi rooted and wan flash custom rom?

edit 2:

if u wan root,

jz dl the rooting package, get the correct CF root kernel matching ur kernel version (ensure its earlier than KL version; if u duno wat i mean then u better stop here and go read more first. dont do things that u duno wat u r doing). extract the cf root until it becomes a zimage file, then put it inside the folder named "Zimage" that u got it when u extract the rooting package.

when its done, execute the not-rooted-yet.bat, and jz follow wat u r told to inside the cmd.

if u wan flash,

do it after u rooted with CF root. once u r rooted, jz put the zip file u got from any custom rom thread inside ur phone's internal SD card (dun put it inside any folder for the ease of access). boot ur phone into recovery mode (power off, then wait 10 sec and power on with home and volume+ button. if u dun understand, then boot normally, and go to app drawer and launch cwm application, then select "boot into recovery".)

once u entered recovery mode, jz select "install zip from sd card", and navigate to the zip file u placed in it (take note that sd card means external sd while internal sd means ur phone's 16gb storage). then select the zip file and flash it. do the necessary wiping if u r told to do so. afterward jz reboot ur phone and wait for few minutes for the phone to boot up. u might have to wait up to 10 minutes. if u face fc/ bootloop, jz reboot into recovery and wipe everything then reboot again.

the is a slight long line of red tint at the left edge of my screen, especially when the brightness is set to minimum , at night,

anyone has this issue? but i wont go warranty for this.

and also, yea, the touch not so sensitive. apple really is better in this technology

yeah, agreed, Apple devices is a winner currently.. but i guess its not on the hardware, but it is how the software written to response to your touch gestures. for an example, Asus Transformers is using the same IPS panels as the iPad, but still iPad is better in fluidity of the UI

Are you trying to root . just
Place the zImage file from the CF-Root kernel in the zImage folder from InitialRootFlasher
This will replace whatever zimage file you have

In your PC you will see this InitRootFlasher zip. Extract it you will have InitialRootflasher fiolder

Apple UI is smoother simply it doesn't have and support widgets. Put widgets on it , there goes the smoothness

yes, i also agree about this, its not like not responding, its more like lagging, like those we found on a pc/laptop.

but the lagginess starts when i wanna slide to unlock tongue.gif

RocketROM v19 with AbyssNote 3.4. Because i am on an air-conditioned surrounding, that is why temp is cool. RAM now 367MB, strange, sometimes high sometimes low.

nope, i only found out that after i got the Note, using DHD previously. And the new Galaxy Nexus has the notification LED. rolleyes.gif

there is a bLED mode using the lighting up of the home and back button as notification but it only support certain ROM and need Rooting.
