No need to go back to 2.3.5 unless you have earlier on upgraded to local KL3 rom

Yes if you have updated through KIES officially to KL3 than you need to downgrade back to 2.3.5 first

Use ODIN in PC to flash back just take 2-3 minutes

If you have updated OTA or through KIES and your firmware becomes KL3 - you CANNOT use zergrush exploit to root it. You need to downgrade back to 2.3.5 and use zergrush exploit to root and have CWM installed
So if you plan to upgrade to 2.3.6 and you want root, DO NOT update it through KIES or OTA. You might as well upgrade it by downloading your required firmware from forum XDA

Yes the 14 toggle remain in latest version of LA1. I HATE it and use the quickpanel settings to set it at 5 only

Settings/display/screen display - you can select position at Clock and Weather position

Which version of Chris rom are you installing ? It is his default since v 1.05 and above. No need to do any settings

If your kernel is , say KK1 - than you choose his file CF-Root-SGN_ZS_MUL_KK1-v5.0-CWM5.zip , if it si KKA than you choose his file CF-Root-SGN_XX_AUT_KKA-v5.0-CWM5.zip, etc etc

I have corrected it already

Downgrading to 2.3.5 KK1 : than you download the file CF-Root-SGN_ZS_MUL_KK1-v5.0-CWM5.zip : you use this file to have CWM installed - just follow Chainfire steps to have the CWM installed

If you want to upgrade to KL7 , download the file CF-Root-SGN_XX_DBT_KL7-v5.0-CWM5.zip and extract it down one level to tar format and use it as kernel in Mobile Odin and choose KL7 tar file as firmware
Once you have CWM installed on KL& , you can just use CWM recovery to installed any rom 2.3.5 or 2.3.6
The downgrade is done only once so that you can root/have CWM installed in order to upgrade back to 2.3.6 KL**

Why are you still confuse - I thought i have written the guide in very simple terms already

Just switch off phone boot to download mode using the 3 hard buttons and you will see a line CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD which will be 0. If your flash counter increased it will show any number above 1
And DON"T worry , flashing all the newer roms and kernels through recovery mode or using mobile odin will NOT increased the counter nor will you see yellow triangle
If you use ODIN on PC to flash a cook rom with unsecured kernel you will see flash counter increased and possibly yellow triangel ( depending on kernel). If you use ODIN on PC to flash stock official rom you will not see counter increased and no yellow triangle
