same like the other expensive makes. i also remember,... if rosak one key or you want to make spare, the guys here wont be able to do it for u.. kene order dari head office rite ?

TS you got try holding the push start for 10 second to start your car?

If you can still start your car after holding it down for 10 seconds, meaning the sensor on the pedal came loose, that one is an easy fix, shouldn't take as long as you've said.

Seems to be common problem... a colleague's car also need hold down 5~7 sec (which is certainly not normal) but he sent it to the SC and was told its NORMAL lah.

He driving KIA or Hyundai? If Hyundai I can refer him to a SC that doesn't dismiss it as NORMAL.

Don't know anyone from KIA SC blush.gif

But yes it's actually a common problem and usually it's because the push start sensor on the brake pedal came loose.

try insert your smart key to the slot inside armrest, only try to start.

if u cant start because the brake harden, to bypass, press button for 10 secs to start. it could be similar sensor issue which is common in first batch of forte, start button user may also experience it once in a while if you are lucky.

but since sc cannot fix, probably u got a lemon.

My friend forte headlight got mist inside and need to wait 2 months for replacement; being told it is shipped from Korea. After the new part arrive, the headlight is yellowish. They told my friend it is new and my friend just took it. Less than 1 day, the mist appear again. Now need to wait for another 2months.

What is it with all these "no parts" available?. SC & HQ must always ensure that parts are always available unless they have problem sourcing for parts.

KIA might have improved a lot but their distributor here is still being complacent.
*
usually before i service i will make appointment and make sure they have the parts and quotation. maybe only that particular sc dont have.

that is a small problem, it will go away in sometime. if it doesnt a few sc can solve it very easily.
but then, if the sc want change new, why not.

It is not normal to have mist in the headlight. I am referring to heavy mist. I don't know which SC she went to but basically they asked to wait 2 months for part. Kinda lame as I expect they should have plenty considering the car is assembled in Malaysia

My ex-car vios also facing engine knocking problem after 1 year and can't solve after few complaint done.

Now very happy enjoying my forte 2.0.
Powerful, handling better than vios a lot and fc also not bad, rm 50 can reach 300 km.
Some more a lot of other nice features rclxm9.gif

No regret if low resale value in future becoz I am really enjoying when driving this nice car for the next few years. wub.gif

Well, if you got this car in great condition, it would be a good buy.
But if you got lemon car, with sucky Naza service, it will really hurt your head.
Want sell also, resell value is still uncertain. Korean car still suffer with low resale value atm.

well said, all cars have crappy resale if compare to toyota and honda...what makes it worth keeping is the availability of spare parts.

It is funny that 1 car has a problem it becomes a generalisation. I am enjoying my 2.0 to date and have no issues with the push start button. Looks like the Inspira fanboys are here to gloat.

The irony is that their car don't even have this feature.

haha..1 car with this problem? it is a known problem for the forte bro, most of them are due to the brake switch. it is in the forte forum

why want a pust start button when the brake switch fails and have to push for 10 seconds(when waiting for the replacement which takes a loooooong time)?

a key would do in 3 seconds. tongue.gif

that why new technologies that arrive in new cars is great but it's all related with electronic components usually will broke down after years, i prefer old cars that have no electronic components that can last to 10 or 20 years tongue.gif

usually sure got a bit, unless yours put at store or etc long time already, about 1 week will disappear.

no point argue for inspira and forte, since most of us bought it because they are value for money, both are typically cheapo car.

inspira( mitsu lancer) vromm vroomm car with this price where to find?
forte (non p1/p2) great specs with this price where to find?

in the end winner will be the one with money, low value, problem, no syok? just sell it off and buy another car.

so better dont bull here too much

If hundred million dollar planes can have problems, what more a cheap car.

While I understand your frustration, I believe this is a remote issue.

inside so hot, outside air cold, of cos mist? like coca cola can?

but, if service center agreed, then of cos it has a problem biggrin.gif

should not have mist as most of the headlamp have filter to avoid water intrusion inside the lamp but the filter will allow mist (hot air) to come out from it

yea, when its too common, it will have high resale value, more spare parts, more after sales service/pokok cherry foreman that can repair the car and high demand in used car market!

better keep it in low numbers, as rare as ferrari to enjoy the exclusiveness! who's gonna sell a ferrari anyway, its ferrari for life!!

Yes..i also told people who doubt about forte...just buy others car...dont follow me.. biggrin.gif ..
Let me and others forte owner enjoy our advanced features car....now already almost 2 years enjoy and still excited with my car thumbup.gif

So..for those who still cannot accept and jealous about forte...can carry on bashing until all of you very satisfied with your car choice.. rclxms.gif

Ps. Next coming proton tuah also has a lot of features and push start button...so for the stupid people who doubt about technology and features(old timer mindset)..dont buy this proton..if want to buy just ask proton to change all the feature with old technology...so your proton will never breakdown.. biggrin.gif

I had an accident last year with my forte, broke one headlight, and bumper half gone. The sparepart came in less than a week. I go to the KIA service center near Pelangi Damansara if you want to check. What say you?

why waited 2 months?

you reli think your potong is made with part from japan ar?

your part all from shah alam and made by foreign worker!!

you need to wait a few weeks to a few months when your car is imported!!!

like insect, windscreen 2 months, that proves its made in japang.

only those betul2 bloody fools still wanna buy those high price low spec outdated Jepun cars .A blank car like Dugong(Vios) of course got "less problem" , if so scare problem better go buy kancil or bicycle lah , lagi got less less problems .

BTW , those bloody hell Jepun cars punya "GENUINE" parts are not cheap oso , if you talk about fake parts then difference story lah .

Regarding the start/stop button , it was mainly due to the fault of the tiny little brake sensor , we can pass it by pressing the start/stop button and hold for 10 secs . Nowadays , all SC oledi have ready stock to replace the sensor without further asking you much questioning and it's FOC if your car still under warranty .

TS you can claim Naza for you inconvenience I spare car can be requested.

If in the end if it is a break switch issue then too bad ... which can easily bypass by SC and wait for parts
