bro mind to ask from where did you bought your vi40 from? i see that pandawill.com is listing the vi40 at $220 and $250 for 8gb and 16gb respectively.

converted to rm that 8gb could be had for less than RM700.

Hah... I've been making these sort of comparisons too. Unfortunately, you will be buying at your own risk although it's cheaper by 20% because:

1. What if the product is somehow defective? Sure, there's a manufacturer's one year guarantee... but factor in the shipping charges and then you might realize it's not so cheap after all.

2. Buying locally, if possible to COD will eliminate a large no. of potential problems.

3. Local seller could also give some support.... but this comes at a price, to cover overheads...

I'm a buyer here, so no vested interest. Just pointing that price is NOT the only factor.

i disagree.

pandawill is giving free shipping to all purchase. and in my experience buying from ebay.com especially from china seller/hongkong/taiwan you could get away with tax if it's shipped using normal post. they'll declare it as a gift and usually it'll pass customs without any holdup.

and did i mention that pandawill ship out from singapore? a lot of buyers in slatedroid saying their purchase from pandawill are shipped using singapore post. so i'm assuming they are based in singapore. how much cost to ship back to singapore?

2. buying locally, i'm still not able to COD as i'm not based in KL/central region. i still need courier/post. i highly doubt any seller would be nice enough to cover shipping both way for warranty claim. again, how much does it cost to ship back to KL compared to singapore? then have to wait for seller to get enough return stock before they ship back to manufacturer.

3. refer 2.

Dear Paskal,

Just giving you my 5 sen opinion yah... So, not necessary to be too err.. hot?  sweat.gif
Since you're not staying in KL, Pandawill might actually be a good option.

If you do buy, do give us feedback here. Maybe I'll buy it from there too if you've got a good experience buying from them.  thumbup.gif

i'm not being angry. just voicing out my opinion. local purchase with local support is indeed a good thing to have, but people are usually taken back because of worries about the warranty claim.

just saying that pandawill is a good option to consider if indeed they're based in singapore. shipping to singapore is just abit more compared to KL, if you're based up north like me.

anyway i already got an ainol novo7 for my kid. from a local seller since i'm not willing wait for another overseas shipment. my kid have dropped wife's galaxy note a few times and it's getting riskier to have him hold the phone to watch his ABC songs.
