looked around for china made telechips, allwinner, rockchip based tablets and really liked the 8" varieties with 4:3 ratio, 1024x768 resolution. The recent good builts are:

1. Teclast P85
2. Ployer's Momo8 HD

Then I found this at Ployer's website:

This is not based on Allwinner A10 (cortex A8 marketed as A10 to confuse some people). Its the upcoming Rockchip 3066 (to be demo-ed in HK on April 13-16) which has dual-core 1.4GHz cortex-A9 (same architecture as A5/A5X in iPad), with possibly quadcore graphics.

This fabless semiconductor companies in China are getting quite good at building good SOC CPUs. Look out for Rockchip 3066 in months to come... and also MediaTek MT8320 for android smartphones/tab+3G+phone...
