yes it does, easiest way is to download the app. There're also few apps in the market does the same thing

setcpu, voltage control. I think the best is to use franco's app since it is build for his kernel
*
Thanks for the info. I will try this kernel for sometime. 1.25$ AUD is fine with me, but i dont have Credit card sweat.gif

@Benny: Do you find your phone batt life has increased after flashing franco's? I really dont see any batt life improvement, but Colour tweak really makes a noticeable difference.

okay found it in post 3
i wonder can flash back to samsung build or not @@
and why so many people want yakju build rather than samsung build
although i know yakju build is by google, which once google release the update then straight get it(off course need take some time)
but after flash from non-yakju build to yakju build, warranty is voided or what ?
*
Can flash to yakju build. Void warranty? Technically yes, but before sending back warranty, you can always revert back to your original state. Make sure you do a NANDROID backup first before you fiddle with your phone.

lol, then what the main difference between yakju / google build or samsung build @@
slowly crawl, laugh.gif

Whenever Google releases a new patch, their Nexus phones are going to get it first. But since some countries' Galaxy Nexus for some reason is flashed with ROM controlled by Samsung, not directly from Google. So the software guys in Samsung have to update the GNexus controlled by them by using the latest patch from Google. This is where the problem arises, you basically get the updates slower from Samsung.

Updates process is something like this.
Google Build: Google Android -> Galaxy Nexus
Samsung Build: Google Android -> Samsung (takes time) -> Galaxy Nexus

If you dont brick your phone, you can revert back to 100% original state without them knowing(by doing NANDOIRD backup). If you bricked it while with Custom ROM AND if Samsung/AP seller knows about it, then they might give you reasons for not fixing it for you.

I never test Franco kernel. When i was on ARHD I use James Bond kernel. Whern I switch to AOKP 4.0.3 since build 13 till 15 - I use Apex V5
Excellent battery life. Example on standby with 3G always on with hourly updates on my RSS and Tweeter this is the usage over 7 hours : 3 % ie about 0.4 %/hour. It is much better than the 1-1.5 % I have when on stock rom and stock kernel

[attachmentid=2635700]
*
My idling on franco is similar to yours. However, I am not so into the idle power saving thing, as long as not 1%/hour like when i was on my stock lol. To be honest, I didnt notice much improvement on daily usage when compared to Stock kernel. AOKP is the one that improves my battery life by a lot not kernel. I will try some UV kernel when i come across one.

It is a hardware problem...but a kernel manually changes the values of rgb to fix this.

then wait for official stock rom release new update will normally fix it right ?
*
I dont think so, by changing those settings like that normally will make the colour unbalanced. For example...u fix yellowish problem by increasing the blue colour saturation but the original blue colour will become more BLUE.

Some very yellowish, some not very. Depends on luck. I think someone posted 3 GNex next to each other with different colour tone on all of them.

I have a huge brighter band across the upper middle of the screen. Doesnt really see it with normal usage, only noticeable when viewing a solid colour background esp. grey colour. It goes away at 50% brightness. Wanted to return it, but scared later the other unit has worse issues like green/red tinting, diagonal banding and worse vertical/horizontal banding which are very common problem.
Apart from the horizontal banding at the middle of the screen on my GNex, my device is perfect without any tinting and diagonal/vertical banding.

For example: Red tinting issue
