Can someone help with ? My problem as describe below.

I tried to burn 10 movies into a DVD and all of them total up to be 4GB (just nice for 4.7GB DVD disc). I have one problem burning those movies using Nero because 8 of my files are AVI and 2 are MPG. So, when i tried to burn all of them together, Nero will prompt me on the MPG files and say that both MPG files needed to be re-encoded before burning. This re-encoded process will take a few hours. So, what should i do to burn all AVI and MPG together with shortest time ? Pls help!

I want to burn it in video format so that i can use my home dvd player to watch it. I know this will involve re-encoding and so on, but i couldn't find a way to do this. Pls help.
