hi guys, need some help here. i'm having some problem to burn certain video files (AVI format anime), i'm using LG DVDRW and burn files using Nero 7 on cheap single layer DVDs. The anime series are quite long, so i divided them into group of 4.25-4.45GB per DVD. But i have problem to burn some of them, and already lost 3 DVD when tried to burn them, keep failed. I'm quite certain that the problem is not caused by my burner or dvd-r, because i still can burn next group of file after the group that i failed to burn. So here, i need some opinion is there any ways to fix this problem? Or is there any software to scan and diagnose files before we can burn it?like  alcohol120%, it has function to read error of files, but only for copy DVD, so i dun think can use for this

 

I want to burn .mpg videos out that allows dvd-players to play.
How to do I convert the format? And using what program?

guys...which of the burning software that works best with Vista 64bit ? I mean like image file and also actual burning avi to dvd

i downloaded an image file which is in the format .uif. this file can be opened by ultraiso. is there any other program besides ultraiso that can open this file?

oopps..sorry i got confused already. this file can only be opened by magiciso so far. ultraiso i tried already. cant open. any other alternative software to open this file format?

coz the trial software only limits me to work with a 300mb uif image. so i cant burn it out or convert it. that's why i ask whether got any alternative software to open this file..

i have like a few old .iso files which are around 6~7GB total... can i like burn it onto 2 DVDs split? if you're saying now, then how come when i see games sold at shops that are more than 4.7GB are split into 2 DVDs? like we can continue installing from Disc 1 to Disc 2?

My space is decreasing day by day... i need to burn them onto DVDs

P.S.: I'm using Asus DRW -2014L1T

Hi, let say the image file is a game image, am i still able to choose the content i wan to burn ? will it be a problem for installing the game using the DVD later on??

hi, copied and burnt a windows dvd from a bootable windows dvd. but the thing is i did not choose bootable cd or "copy entire cd" in the burning tool, instead i made an image from the original bootable dvd and then use the image to burn another dvd.

the dvd now is unbootable, is there anyway i could make that dvd bootable again? or do i have to choose "cd copy" in my burning tool to make another bootable dvd? (dun feel like wasting this unbootable dvd).

hi...i hope someone can work out something on this...which i had tried for 1-2 years but the result is unsatisfactory...

It's simple...those China DVD..which can put around 20 episodes of drama into 1 DVD, I check the DVD..it use 4.7GB only!!!my question is HOW THEY DO THIS??I think the ans is not just bcoz they r from China...

I know the quality will reduce but the quality is still OK

For eg...

10 episodes which is in rmvb format..which is around 200MB per episode

I think first step is to convert into AVI, MPG etc? (Is there any other way to directly burn into DVD then can watch using DVD player)

Let say after convert each AVI files is around 500MB

let say i wan to burn 7 episodes into 1 DVD (so 500MB x 7 = 3.5GB )

When using Nero Vision normally i can't put more than 5 episodes (500MB x 5 = 2.5GB only!!) Y is it like this??

I also try with ashampoo..ok 6 episodes..but not 7...Y??????

is there any software that we can put no matter how many episode we wan n it adjust the quality automatically??
