I heavily topup PCSF during 2008 financial crisis. Other fund(>0.25NAV) rally but PCSF(<0.25 NAV) fund hardly hv momentum . Switch to bond fund 2011 once break even by every month top up. Becoz other fund hv distribution but this one noting declare.

I only topup/bought PCSF in 2008 fund below 0.25 NAV, to average down, becoz i betting PCSF can rally back above 0.28 NAV. My instinct wrong, manage to get out.

From my somewhat limited experience in stocks, its better to buy stable stocks and hold for long term dividends and growth, and DON'T monitor the market during trading hours, the intraday/intraweek "shark" movements will drive u crazy. Ok, maybe I don't have the trader's mentality sweat.gif

If purely UT, very hard la. Need to go for higher risk like stock options and commodity. Can achieve 10K per month even with 300K capital.
*
to archieve rm300k also need 5-10 year of saving.

For now cash level... waiting for right time to re-invest  laugh.gif

Been adding more into foreign equity lately and also divesting MY equity...

Current holding

1. Bond MY - 10%
2. Bond EM - 5%
3. Equity MY - 20%
4. Equity Foreign - 15%
5. Cash/FD - 50%

Oh, btw, those holding Indonesian bond, the latest Rp 1.5 trillion sukuk offering of at 5.16% fails with 30% undersubscription, investor asking for 6%... ohmy.gif The bonds yields are cracking ahead of possible interest rate rise/inflation..  sweat.gif
