U know, I know, everyone in Malaysia knows...we have EPF, PNB, LTAT etc and so many institutional investors holding it up yawn.gif
*
But the article doesn't actually focus for Malaysian equity even though the article title is quite confusing. laugh.gif

I plan to add a REIT fund to my portfolio. What you think?

I prefer to invest in local REITs IF I wanted to...Sunway REIT, upcoming IGB REIT tongue.gif
*
But personally I think that direct local REIT is not as liquid as REIT funds.

of course...REIT is traded just like shares...if u desperate for cash, u need to meet the buyers' highest bid price, whereas REIT funds the fund manager is obliged to buy back.

Not too comfortable with region-focused REIT fund...I prefer a more global one
*
Understand master.

My shopping list would be:

1. EASTSPRING INVESTMENTS GLOBAL LEADERS MY FUND
2. AMASIA PACIFIC REITS
3. AMASEAN EQUITY or OSK-UOB ASEAN FUND

My plan is to move out from PM once I have considerable return in PFES, PAIF and PSMALLCAP.

I have not much faith and confidence over Far East region especially from PCSF and hope to get considerable return from PFES, PAIF and PSMALLCAP to cover losses in PCSF.

My top performing funds in my current portfolio is PSEASF and CIMB-Principal Australian Equity Fund.

Hi David83, may I know why you pick Amasean equity, not Pheim Asia Ex Japan?

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Jul 21 2012, 12:51 PM)
He said already, he's already North Asia (China, HK, Korea, Taiwan)-heavy...he wants more ASEAN exposure
*
I try to rebalance my current portfolio by having more global exposure.

[attachmentid=2958416]

1. I choose EASTSPRING INVESTMENTS GLOBAL LEADERS MY FUND because it has greater exposure in US region.0
2. I also want to add some REIT in my portfolio and opt for AMASIA PACIFIC REITS because they invest heavily in AUSTRALIA and SINGAPORE.
3. Lastly, the reason I select AMASEAN EQUITY or OSK-UOB ASEAN FUND because I may want to lock in current profit in PSEASF and switch to a lower cost fund.

Already 3 days of slump...more to come? hmm.gif

Not aiming for HSOF for the mean time.

I wanted to buy the 3 funds that I mentioned earlier first before considering local funds.

US market seems to be bottoming...the Dow got a resitance somewhere 12,500 points...maybe u can consider to enter now and start doing DCA/VA.

Let's monitor for few more weeks first since Spain and Greece are sending noises to the global market.

Well, timing is always a gamble...

If they turn out to be merely "noises", Dow and S&P rally, then u wait for another round of "noises"? tongue.gif

My holdings of global equity funds still in the black...once they drop to red I will top up icon_idea.gif
*
US markets (S&P 500) have been dropped for 3 days since last Friday. It's better to be cautious.

I'm not timing for the lowest and it's impossible to time for the lowest.

I'm still undecided which one to go for:

1. EASTSPRING INVESTMENTS GLOBAL LEADERS MY FUND
2. TA GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY FUND
3. RHB - GS US EQUITY FUND

Yes to 1 & 3, no to 2...I always not comfortable with sector-focused  fund doh.gif

TA GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY FUND is more volatile but the fund is investing heavily in US tech giants.

S&P 500 is still trading within range of 1335-1373. Have a support around 1330. See tonight how will it perform.

Anyone invested in AmAsean Equity? What's your thought on these fund? Based from my observation, the fund invested in top telcos in S'pore and Indonesia such as Singtel and Telkomsel.  icon_question.gif

I got ASEAN fund but not with AmImvestment. They're investing heavily in Singapore and Indonesia too!
