Buy and hold ah? More like buy and hope. Been there, done that. Now only trade stock options. Probably should just stick with UT, something u're good at than try to diversify and lost focus. just my 2 sen.

yah, my portfolio just dropped by 4% last night, return whatever I gained the night before. oh well..there will be next time.

hang seng dropping since last week. I keep an eye becos i have little bit holding in HK stock lol.. i felt like holding stock waiting for dividend yield is nothing better than buying UT. Let say u buy maxis at rm6.00, last year dividend give 4 times around 8sen each time, total rm0.32. So 1 lot dividend is rm320 not yet deduct tax. 320/6 is around 5% yield only. What's the point of buying stock for dividend yield? If we don count capital gain la.. maybe sometimes u lucky they split share?

what fund is targeting shanghai? china focus de only? i heard china no open their market for foreigners, we can only invest thru hang seng.

Example is Fidelity China Focus & DWS China Equity

No worry, worst case situation, it will drop by 10% before all stops get triggered. I'll be entering shorts tonight to counter that. UT is the one I'm a bit blurr on how to manage. Something that I hope to learn here. All my PM UT are in equity and single Malaysia region. After learning to build diversified portfolio with FSM, then probably will make the change in PM as well.

i just went to UOB and bought the Gold and General Fund for rm3000
but im not really sure what i bought because the staff there told me this fund is better than buying the gold plan because initially i wanted to get the gold plan..

can anyone enlighten me how does this fund works?

You will be surprise that you have less time than working 9 to 5. You end up getting involve in too many thing I guess.
