If you attend the seminar, they'll show various charts to explain the reason behind their bullish bias - FA (economic indicators) and TA (low PE, EPS, risk ratio).

Dave, PE EPS economic indicators are all FAs

TAs are charts analysis
*
Economic indicators are GDP, HSBC PMI, growth, CPI and etc

TA that I'm referring to PE, EPS on HSI, Shenzen and Shanghai indices and etc versus MSCI Asia Ex Japan.

All fund houses seeing China as opportunity. But they do not have the funds offered.

Only Oskuob has their china big cap fund. Others are more to greater china...
*
The funds that they introduced may invest in Hong Kong.

Take example, CIMB-PRINCIPAL ASIA PACIFIC DYNAMIC INCOME FUND is Asia ex Japan region fund but it has 14.18% of country allocation in Hong Kong.

You're correct on OSK-UOB BIG CAP CHINA ENTERPRISE FUND which is a 95.68% exposure in China companies list in HSI called H shares.

I heavily topup PCSF during 2008 financial crisis. Other fund(>0.25NAV) rally but PCSF(<0.25 NAV) fund hardly hv momentum . Switch to bond fund 2011 once break even by every month top up. Becoz other fund hv distribution but this one noting decare.

I only topup/bought PCSF in 2008 fund below 0.25 NAV, to average down, becoz i betting PCSF can rally back above 0.28 NAV. My instinct wrong,  manage to get out.
*
All China funds introduced at that time from majority of the fund houses haven't reach to its initial offering NAV as of today NAV.

Take OSK-UOB BIG CAP CHINA ENTERPRISE FUND, its NAV is at 0.474 and its IPO NAV is 0.500

Majority of the China funds in the market ages nearly 5 years and none of them are back to its IPO NAV or declared any single dividend/distribution.

I have switched out from PM PCSF and made a loss of 26.23% and PCSF NAV as of today is 0.1570

After today, are you convinced to get back to China funds?

Bro.. Who are the 2 fund houses not present?
*
I have two funds with PM which has exposure on China. PFES and PAIF.

Even tough it is attractive but I don't feel like going in so soon. On top of that, I have bought Aberdeen World Fund.

Guess I will monitor longer.

I cannot remember. Either AmInvestment, AmanahRaya and/or BIMB

Ceh, if talk like that, Eastspring Investments Global Emerging Markets is even more attractive, 18.39% in China/HK tongue.gif

You got the wrong idea. I said that majority of the fund houses that invested in offshore are bullish with China region because of they're attractive.

I didn't say that the higher exposure or country allocation in that region, the more attractive the fund will be.

Arcea is purely investing in local and therefore, they didn't mention about China. AMB speaker was talking about Unit Trust 101 and they also didn't mention China too!

Kenanga supposingly to be heavily investing in local market too but their speaker is talking about "Treasure Hunting in Asia", therefore, they also mentioned China.

Regarding the 0.5% SC on 20th and/or 26th January 2013, there's no consistency among the FSM staffs.

One said they don't have full proof of ensuring those attended the event will enjoy the promo rate.

The other one said they will cross-reference the attendance list for eligibility.

Europe heading up again

Let's hope that the market would take a breather before 6th February so that Aberdeen Islamic World can snap up discounted stocks tongue.gif

IIRC, Kenanga or Arcea speaker cautioned on KLCI correction.

Either of the speaker also mentioned that:

For KLCI PE:

<= 13 ---> buy
>= 17 ---> sell
