Boring.

Dennis Tan presentation needs to brush more.

Now is AMB presentation on unit trusts 101.

Placed an order for Aberdeen World Equity fund.

Collected all stamps from all participating booths.

Lucky draw starts at 5.30pm and one must be present by himself during the draw.

How's the order placement process like on the event? hmm.gif

Well, if his presentation skill is good, he might as well join a pyramid scheme/MLM/gold investment scheme laugh.gif
*
You can do it at FSM booth or at home. They said that they'll adjust the service charge later.

U mean I can place order TODAY or on 26th at home and get 0.5% even without having to show face at the event? rclxub.gif

Please help to get clarification...if yes, I'm buying in NOW drool.gif
*
I'm not sure how are they going to track this. Perhaps through registration at the front desk.

Maybe they mean for the order placement can done at home but you need to attend the event by confirming your attendance at the front desk.

There are already A LOT of good Malaysia equity funds around, whether conventional or Syariah-compliant.

But good global equity funds are few and far in between. The Aberdeen global equity fund available thru FSM Singapore performed okay. Based on what I read from this Aberdeen Islamic World fund's prospectus, the same team managing the SG fund would be managing it.
*
Talked to the one of Aberdeen researcher. He mentioned that the world equity fund is a new setup and won't be a proxy to the Singapore sister fund.

I know, it is not feeding into the SG fund which is non-Syariah compliant. But the same team is managing the fund, no? unsure.gif

Well, the speaker may share something confidential which may not available in the website.

Next, it benefits lazy reader like me as the speaker may just highlight key point form since there's a time constraint.

Actually I have no use of all those freebies - tearable notepad/sticker/post it (whatever you want it), pens, calendars, exercise book size notebook/planners, recyclable bags

The main reason is that I don't really use them.

hehe.. I guess the pen and umbrella will come in handy!
*
To be frank, I seldom use pen nowadays except to really take notes during meeting or signature some papers.

Pencils are more rare.

Umbrella comes handy because one of my umbrella is damaged.

I have a S3 but I haven't fully utilize for notes jotting and etc to replace paper notes/pencils. laugh.gif

Back to the seminar, the conclusion that I could draw is one word: CHINA

All fund houses are pretty bullish on CHINA.
