QUOTE(jutamind @ Nov 18 2012, 03:30 AM) i have confidence in HwangIM which focus on delivering superior returns for their current funds, rather than creating millions of new similar funds just for the sake of selling... Looks like all fund houses creating so many new funds in a year. They probably thins the market here has still exponential growth to capture. Young market for UT maybe..

QUOTE(aoisky @ Nov 18 2012, 03:52 PM) just activated my FSM account. notice from some previous posting did mention about exit fee, curious what is it? Some funds will incur exit fee when you sell it off.

QUOTE(aoisky @ Nov 18 2012, 07:03 PM) thanks bro. tomorrow can start buying my fund any recommendation I am no UTC, so not so qualified to advice. For me, I will draft out my objective(s) of this investment. For retirement, child education, etc? How long of time frame? Risk tolerance? Expected return pa? I will initially stick to 1 bond and 1 equity which has MY exposure first la.

You plan to concentrate your UT investment in FSM in future? Or you will still stay invested in PM and EI as well?

I agree with you on FSM low charges. This is the reason am invested as well.
I also have PM funds till now. Way forward, I am investing less and less in PM. Furthermore, I foresee when doing rebalancing of portfolio, it will be painful as need to manage 2 platform.
Maybe you can consider transfer in you EI fund to FSM.

QUOTE(aoisky @ Nov 18 2012, 08:20 PM) I heard that it is possible to do that (EI trsf to FSM). would it be troublesome in procedure wise and others factor never done such thing. any cost incur ? No charges at all for transfer in to FSM. Just need to fill in 3 documents (in my case), then submit to FSM. Then wait for 1 month, you can see the fund in FSM online already. Just drop an email to FSM, saying which fund you want to transfer in, from which distributor (which bank).. then they will send you the related forms to fill in. After you fill, just email to them and let them do the final checking before submit hard copy to them.

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Nov 19 2012, 05:30 PM) haiz no more fund investment corner >< may i know wat is the different of buying from public mutual agent and also those maakl agent and website like fundsupermart? Is it sales charge means the money they charge u when u invest money? how about when u wan to sell? any charges at fundsupermart? I think only difference is initial sales charge. Rest like annual management fee la, exit fee la, etc remain the same for all. If you like DIY, then will be FSM. If you need to meet ppl for advice, no time to monitor, then other distributors.
