iFAST Corp has two corporate shareholders. They are SPH AsiaOne Ltd, the Internet arm of Singapore Press Holdings, Singapore's largest media group, and DMG & Partners Securities Pte Ltd (51% owned by OSK Investment Bank Berhad and 49% owned by Deutsche Bank). In recent years, iFAST Corp has been expanding beyond local shores. In 2007, iFAST Corp launched its first overseas business, Fundsupermart in Hong Kong and in 2008, it launched Fundsupermart in Malaysia. Also in 2008, iFAST Corp entered into a joint venture agreement with Deutsche Bank's asset management division to expand its unit trust distribution business in India in the first half of 2009.

Wow so long!!

Yea.. guess they have to contact few parties (OSK Invesment and UOB Bank). And it is hard for FSM to push them to work faster, slightly out of FSM power when the ball is on them.

No prb bro... this place is to sharing info and exchanging knowledge. We alone cannot digest all the info from newspaper and website... tongue.gif

I am putting on hold at the moment. See any outcome on US fiscal cliff, Japan issue and back home election. Euro thingy i am quite immune for now though.

I am looking at Hwang Asia Quantum to get some exposure on Asia ex-Japan, not sure when to dive in.

Templeton Malaysia just launched Templeton Global Total Return Fund in Malaysia...basically it's a feeder fund for US domiciled fund.

unfortunately, it's being distributed by Citibank exclusively now....not sure FSM can squeeze this fund into their platform in the near future.
*
Maybe can ask FSM directly on their plan for this?

Bro.. I read your blog yesterday and would say it is interesting and informative. You mentioned that you invest in UT in both online pfatform, FSM and eUnitT. Are you still staying invested in both? or already consolidate into FSM?

Hi Kaka23,

Thanks for visiting my blog....just trying to share info....

Yes, am still invested in both platforms, but i only have AmDynamic Bond in eUnitTrust platform. I tried to switch in from FSM but FSM said cant switch in from eUnitTrust....

when i first invested in eUnitTrust, this platform has some funds that are not available in FSM, but since then FSM has grown so much that it has outgrown eUnitTrust by leaps and bounds....so my investment in eUnitTrust is in so called semi coma status. I want to sell off the AmDynamic holdings in eUnitTrust to close the account, but a bit sayang since i cannot buy it back anymore.
*
Agree with you, will be sayang to sell off AmDynamic. Better don't sell... Unless AmTactical can give similar or better yield, then can sell off AmDynamic.. Haha. But we will only know after sometime, maybe 1-2 years.

Mine pulak at 40%++

As I pump in more into equity funds it will go down some more, when it drops to 25% I'd start shopping for a new bond fund. icon_idea.gif

Bro.. let me know which bond fund you will be eying next time?

I am waiting for all my transfer in to complete. Still got few more funds not yet in FSM. So not much of topping up since AmDyamic close for purchase.

PRS only apply to EPF, rite? How about wanna invest using cash? Possible or not?
*
You can use cash to buy in PRS. You have the flexibility to buy in anytime and how frequent you want, just like normal UT. Just that, you cannot "take out" the money before reaching retirement age.

I'd prefer to wait and see, see how convenient it is to manage our investments under PRS. If its as troublesome as EPF investments in UT, I'd not bother, my tax bracket ain't that high to make the tax savings worthwhile tongue.gif

Me too... Will look see look see first.

According to the CIS, they are currently integrate the PRS account with the Fundsupermarket system. Start from next year they should be completed the system integration, then we can manage it just like other cash and EPF investment.

I ask the CIS, is there any person has subscribed the PRS? He said he and his boss, and quite many inquiries. In my opinion if we just have little money like RM1k, can't really see the benefit. But if we have more than 3k to dump in, then we can see some advantage.

Currently Hwang is the first one to get the approval, Fundsupermarket plan to have all on board except Public, which they don't think the bank will allow them to do so.
So the question is , whether you are confident in the Hwang IM fund performance?
*
May I know which CIS? hehe...

I am confident with Hwang funds performance, although I do not have any of their funds yet. Planning to get Hwang Asia Quantum...
