Yes, long-term its an attractive one. Esp with its heavy Australian and Singapore weighting. nod.gif

But, should KLCI remain at 1620 territory today, I'm blasting away my 1st batch ammo on Hwang Select Opportunity Fund later bruce.gif
2nd batch, pre-GE crash

Maybe buy Hwang Select Bond Fund? 1.5% SC Asian bond fund, but the SC can be transferred to HSOF when I switch, partially offset the 2% SC... hmm.gif

better go for bond funds for timing as temp parking. unless DDI in equities. my opinion only.

http://www.theedgemalaysia.com/highlights/...-expensive.html

if still gatal gatal.. 50% - 50% lah. both side will work in any trends.

I had that in mind too...

1st, buy minimum initial purchase i.e. RM1K into bond fund
Then, switch half i.e. RM500 into equity fund
Subsequently, top up monthly while keeping the proportion at 50/50

U think that could work in the current environment? unsure.gif

Lately my portfolio performance very stagnant. Hardly up, hardly down. Want to buy, but there is no buying opportunity. KLCi hovering around 16xx quite stable. Bond very slow. Inflation start to kill. sad.gif

Share your portfolio...what funds u carry and in what proportion? Mine doing okay...annualised returns of 5% since 2008 in spite of crazy losses during 2010/11 when I got too aggressive at the wrong time.

Agree on future opportunities though...KLCI stable, US/Europe peaking. Asia Ex-Japan and GEM valuation still below average though...

So, u parking at Cash Management Fund now? unsure.gif

85% bond 15% equity. Been in this position since april. Annualized 8-10p.a% since 2010 due to pure luck. Plus last year september until this year january rally help a little. Regret didnt hentam much during klci 13xx.

Funds mostly from PM. The rest amdynamic bond, asw2020. Return this year since january thr figures not bad la. 50% toward my goal lol laugh.gif but count by percentage, only around 5% too. my public strategic bond lags.

Mostly still in bond. But then gathering cash since last month. Hopefully can gather around 100k before election. That would be my first batch ammo. Bonds are secondary ammos and will be divided into 2-3 buying phases. I dont want to be too diversified. laugh.gif

8-10% consider average only. If you bumi can park asb easily that amount laugh.gif .

You are assuming that all investors know how to invest to ensure they will be better off in the long term with equities, and/or they have the risk appetite willing to accept up/downs that equities can and will bring.

In reality, that's not the case.
