But, should KLCI remain at 1620 territory today, I'm blasting away my 1st batch ammo on Hwang Select Opportunity Fund later 2nd batch, pre-GE crash |

I had that in mind too...http://www.theedgemalaysia.com/highlights/...-expensive.html if still gatal gatal.. 50% - 50% lah. both side will work in any trends. 1st, buy minimum initial purchase i.e. RM1K into bond fund Then, switch half i.e. RM500 into equity fund Subsequently, top up monthly while keeping the proportion at 50/50 U think that could work in the current environment? |

Lately my portfolio performance very stagnant. Hardly up, hardly down. Want to buy, but there is no buying opportunity. KLCi hovering around 16xx quite stable. Bond very slow. Inflation start to kill.

Mine doing okay...annualised returns of 5% since 2008 in spite of crazy losses during 2010/11 when I got too aggressive at the wrong time.Agree on future opportunities though...KLCI stable, US/Europe peaking. Asia Ex-Japan and GEM valuation still below average though... So, u parking at Cash Management Fund now? |

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Sep 21 2012, 10:36 AM) Mostly still in bond. But then gathering cash since last month. Hopefully can gather around 100k before election. That would be my first batch ammo. Bonds are secondary ammos and will be divided into 2-3 buying phases. I dont want to be too diversified. 8-10% consider average only. If you bumi can park asb easily that amount This post has been edited by mois: Sep 21 2012, 10:50 AM |

QUOTE(xuzen @ Sep 21 2012, 09:25 PM) Are you 85 y/o Mois? Why 85% in Fixed Income? Why so conservative? You are assuming that all investors know how to invest to ensure they will be better off in the long term with equities, and/or they have the risk appetite willing to accept up/downs that equities can and will bring. You are missing in opportunity cost leh! Xuzen In reality, that's not the case. |
