hi guys,
I've been happily using my PS3 as a media player all this while. Although it plays all my non HD AVIs very well and very sharp (due to the upscaling), I find the whole process of transferring files to and fro my macbook and the PS3's external HDD a pain in the ass. I've tried streaming with Plex but the movies I stream (non HD mind you) always chokes and stutters. I'm not sure if that's because of my stupid Unifi router or is it due to my PS3's Wireless G speed. Will the Apple TV solve my streaming problems? if I can easily stream from my Macbook Pro (connected to my 2TB external HDD where I keep my files), then it would be a great tool to have! otherwise I might look into getting a QNAP or Synology to stream my files BUT I'm still worried about stuttering and choking... so many things to worry about, limited budget, and don't wanna risk buying those stuffs and end up can't work well Thanks so much for reading and I hope someone can provide me with some answers! Thanks again! |

hi guys, now I'm on unblock-us and netflix trial. But I always need to reactivate the changed ip address on unblock-us once I restart my modem. If I subscribe it, do I need to do that everytime?
btw, apple tv really great esp the airplay. Now watching euro everynite through my ipad. |

yup, everytime you reset your modem, you'll get a new IP address. This IP address need to be updated in unblock-us database. Wonder why you need to restart your modem? My router + modem have been up for many months without a need to restart.
