Siri on Fourth Generation Apple TV will be restricted to just 8 countries (Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, the UK and the U.S).

Below are the difference on the Siri Remote for the 8 countries, and the other with what the company is calling the Apple TV Remote.

Exactly.
We'll be paying for the 'same' price, but didn't receive the equal functions.
I'll considering to import an unit from Australia when it launched, to i get the full functionality that im supposed to get.

A simple DNS change will allow you to use Siri anywhere in the world. It's just like Netflix only works in selected countries, but with a dns unblocker, we can watch it anywhere.

Not sure if they have different hardwares in the topbox for Siri and non-Siri supported ATV4.

it's probably much simpler than that. ATV might just check which country your apple id from. If the address is in US, then you will have Siri on ATV4

Looks like our Singaporean cousins will be getting Netflix soon (how lucky), which makes it all the more justifiable for them to get an  TV! rclxms.gif

As for us here in MY, it's not exactly very useful for now, what more with the advent of Smart TVs with their built-in YouTube and all. But it will be good if iFlix (the Asian version of Netflix) can be streamed on the  TV! thumbup.gif

I would rather prefer not to have it here in MY, due to the fact everything will get censored just like astro.
