Siri on Fourth Generation Apple TV will be restricted to just 8 countries (Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, the UK and the U.S).
Below are the difference on the Siri Remote for the 8 countries, and the other with what the company is calling the Apple TV Remote. Siri Remote Apple TV Remote |

QUOTE(aceedburn @ Oct 7 2015, 12:44 PM) A simple DNS change will allow you to use Siri anywhere in the world. It's just like Netflix only works in selected countries, but with a dns unblocker, we can watch it anywhere. Yeah, actually I thought that too. But again, not quite convincing haha....anyway, let's see after it launched. |

QUOTE(eikozai @ Oct 8 2015, 01:06 AM) I have to agreed on this too 😁 it's probably much simpler than that. ATV might just check which country your apple id from. If the address is in US, then you will have Siri on ATV4Not sure if they have different hardwares in the topbox for Siri and non-Siri supported ATV4. |

Looks like our Singaporean cousins will be getting Netflix soon (how lucky), which makes it all the more justifiable for them to get an TV!
As for us here in MY, it's not exactly very useful for now, what more with the advent of Smart TVs with their built-in YouTube and all. But it will be good if iFlix (the Asian version of Netflix) can be streamed on the TV! This post has been edited by THTgadgets.com: Oct 8 2015, 05:13 PM |

I would rather prefer not to have it here in MY, due to the fact everything will get censored just like astro. As for us here in MY, it's not exactly very useful for now, what more with the advent of Smart TVs with their built-in YouTube and all.
