I have a Samsung TV that can stream YouTube videos via the Internet. But if I want to get an Apple TV, how do I get it set up here in Malaysia?

I heard that Netflix and Hulu can only be viewed in the USA, and these two have the best online TV programs thus far. Is there any way to have these services made available in Malaysia then?

cannot watch.. unless u use VPN or some use free DNS... i prefer VPN as its more complete and stable...

You can get Netflix by changing country to US.
But you need to subscribe to VPN to use Netflix.
I use UnblockUS for vpn.

Just go to settings and change region to US, you will get Netflix channel.
Then register free 14 days DNS trial with SmartDNSproxy to watch all US contents.

Cant watch hbogo though.
Proxydns and other services can only be use with hbogo in apple tv.

I can watch Netflix, Hulu, HBOgo, History, FXnow, FOXnow, etc etc on Apple TV using SmartDNSproxy, No problem.

Can you please share how you watch HBOgo ? I tried but it shows "activate" then the website requested for a US HBOTV provider account. Which of course I don't have

Plz help. I can Airplay from my Mac to my ATV3 but the video is lagging. U can see the frame rate.It is very bad.
My Unify speed test of download is around 18mps and upload around 16mps.
My HDMI cable btw is the one that can support 4K video. Cant remember the brand as I throw away the packaging already.
Btw, streaming has no problem.

Which router are you using ?

Airplay does not depend on your Unify speed test nor will it depend on your HDMI cable.

I do face this issue when I run too many application on my basic MBA and I try using Airplay.
I don't face this issue when I've everything closed/restarted my MBA or on my iMac.

I used an American Express card registered in Malaysia about 2 years ago when I first subscribed to Netflix. The rules may have changed. You can try. But I doubt you can use debit card.

my ATV stopped detecting wifi network since last week.
the wifi router is working fine, as other devices can detect and connect without any problem.

updated the ATV using Ethernet cable, but still can't detect wifi
