QUOTE(crow190569 @ Jan 11 2013, 09:53 AM) Hey Guys, sorry to let you know that maxis fibre failed terrible with APTV3 for me... it could not stream as well as its supposed to be considering its at 10mbps....even YES! was streaming more smoothly... I am now with TIME and it works perfectly well too... do not ask me why it happens with Maxis....Need some advise i was previously using my jailbroken APTV2 with Uniifi and it was working fine. But recently i changed to Maxis Fibre and i keep getting this message on "Script failed! : addon.py" on certain addons. I am not very tech savy and got someone to help me jailbreak my unit. Can anyone recomend a simple solution please. |

to those who subscribe maxis fiber with 10Mbps speed, how is the streaming on the ATV ? Is it laggy ?
I've been going thru the pages to find out if it's worth it to buy ATV . But I have some doubts now. If the streaming is good without any lag, then I would go ahead n buy it. |

Streaming on the atv2 depends on the source. Some of them are fast. HD slow but if u give it a 10 min head start its ok. I use filenuke and gorillavid quite ok most of the time

If the streaming is good without any lag, then I would go ahead n buy it. Last time I tried free trial for netflix and hulu on my 4mbps, video quality on Hulu is better compared to netflix. Netflix can check your connection and adjust the quality of the video based on that, for me mostly I get SD quality or worse. Enabling the best quality on the netflix settings doesn't seem to improve much for me Recently I've just upgraded to 8mbps and and now can stream HD trailers directly from Trailers I'm probably gonna give netflix a second try, with 10mbps I don't think you'll have any problems streaming videos much. I rarely stream videos on the net actually, I mostly use xbmc on atv2 to play movies shared on my home network. On XBMC you can add a bunch of other video streaming plugins and not limited by what atv offers. |

Painfully lol changed all my TVshows to square artwork from itunes server.
BTW have u noticed all the artwork before 2012 are 600x600 only 2012/2013 seasons are high res 2400x2400 Its the default for ATV and itunes 11. Used to be same as movies as Tall orientation but now is squared. This post has been edited by cstkl1: Jan 15 2013, 12:41 AM |
