Hello and another G owner here...

Initially I was very impressed with the toy I've got for myself but in the 2nd week I can't seem to monitor my battery usage as it always drains like water....

I've turned off what ever I can do prolong my battery life but it'll force me to charge it within 24 hours with less than normal usage...

Things I've done:

Advanced Task Killer - Auto Kill apps during screen off - aggressive
Wifi - mostly off unless use
GPS - mostly off unless use
Auto Rotation - off
Brightness - 20-30%
Sync Data - off

This is what I got for today,



Fully Charge @2am...
85% @6am
49% @1pm
32% @5pm

1 3mins call... 2 SMS received... and used GPS for ~3Xmins during afternoon...
Any suggestions except rooting??

Firmware is 2.3.6

Did you install the rooted version and set as survive hard reset?

i average 16 hours on full charge anyways

wah means it is very battery consuming??? i thought the phone is known for its long life battery??

The definition of long life battery is very subjective from person to person.

but avast can be uninstall right?

Can at least hold for 1 day? means if i charge full at 6 pm today until tomorrow 6 pm ok? i dun reli play games...only go online to check stocks and maybe do some online banking....calling and oso chatting maybe...lol sorry to be so subjective...

Avast can be uninstalled. The theft app is a separate app that got different name. It is suppose to be installed as system app (so no uninstall function). Only way, flash new rom through cwm or you know the app name and delete the apk manually.

Added on January 6, 2012, 5:38 pmStill not easy to estimate but i think if not play games should be able to last. In this case depends your on 3G or 2G data and for how long as from what i experience, main juice sucker is screen, second is data connection...

How about SystemPanel as it can serve as a monitoring software??

EDIT: Forgot to add that I also turn off Packet Data as I'm more rely on Wifi
