just SOD'ed after flashing the Thunderbolt 2.3.7. Might have to remove all my UV's.

Edit :Removing my UV's did not help either. I keep SOD'ing the second I lock my screen. No idea what could be wrong..

Edit 2: Increased everything by 50mv,seems to be stable. No idea what the ori voltages are. Anyone mind sharing please? Voltage Control has no reset option...

Hi Pika. Thanks for reply. I not sure what is happening and yes, I restore back using the zip on your topic (sorry late reply was cooking).

Here is the link: http://www.multiupload.com/IB6EXXTBEM

Sorry I can't attach as the forum didn't allow that (error with file type  blink.gif  )

I noticed that after I flash the scaling, my phone doesn't wake up and SOD... rclxub.gif Still can't solve it unless I don't install scaling. No UV no OC. Just flash kernel, wipe cache, dalvik, install Thunderbolt. Reboot, go into sleep...then SOD sad.gif

Awaiting for your reply!

Make sure your voltages are stock. Check here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1202569

Fixed my SOD issue.

Someone mention in turkbey thread to remove S98bolt_siyah that comes with thunderbolt. Have you tried that? That script is used to tweak siyah kernel and may have incompatibility with neak kernel.
*
Sorry for bringing this up much later, but where can I find the S98bolt_siyah ?

Thanks

Ran my phone in single core mode the whole day, got much much better battery life, and did not feel any difference at all. Everything is ultra smooth as before.

Going to flash either CM9 or westcrip's ICS
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1436854
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410400

Both sound just as good. Anyone tried out both and can recommend me one?

Thanks.

Hi guys,

I'm planning to buy another case for my SGS2.

I'm considering Casemate Tough Case. I read some reviews that the silicon part attracts dusts and lints....for those who are using a Casemate Tough, is it true? Is it really that bad until you have to clean it every day?

Thanks
Btw, anyone using a Casemate Pop Case? Feedback?

Thanks
*
Mine requires hardly any cleaning. The rubber becomes smooth and attracts less dust. And can be removed easily with a single wipe. The inner casing is rubber, not silicone I think...

For anyone that use CM9 ICS u can use this apps for video recording because default video cam is broken..

Sorry for hijacking on your reply tongue.gif , but which would you think is better? CM9 or westcrip's ICS?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1436854
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410400

For some weird reson, westcrip's one is not samsung skinned and looks a lot like CM9. He claims there are many fixes and improvements. Would you say it is better than CM9

Thanks

anyone that want more battery life in your CM9 ROM pls disable media scan and untick lock sound in setting> sound rclxms.gif

That's it, you have poisoned me enough already tongue.gif , downloading the CM9 now. The instructions you posted some pages back on how to flash is the same as the one in the CM9 thread?

How to disable media scanning? Is there an option which is not in Gingerbread?

modem i use KP8, just finish download latest build 01122012 cm9, will flash it right now..

Sorry for hijacking again, but I want to clarify something:

Copy GApps, GApps-Fixer, Faceunlock and CM9 ZIPs to your internal SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash CM9 zip
- Flash GApps, Faceunlock and GApps-Fixer ZIPs
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your calendar sync will not work)
- Reboot
- Don't restore Apps using Titanium Backup!

The steps make no mention of wiping the data. If I wipe data will the stuff on my internalSD be deleted?

if you on different rom better you wipe all before u flash CM9, that is to avoid conflict with previous rom, all your data in internel sd and externel sd will be ok, backup first all your apps by TB and restore back all it after that. biggrin.gif

Thanks for all the help. Really appreciate it. Will be flashing it in a few minutes. notworthy.gif

Hi ashwin1234,
I was trying to flashed ICS but failed on my I9100G. It alwiz give this error "NAND Write Start!!" and failed the process in ODIN.

Any tips and which url/reference you refer to?

Thanks
*
Woah, all the ICS builds you see are meant for the non-g version. Yours is a G version. You can always flash a custom ROM which supports the ICS domination theme.

You might soft-brick your device if you are not careful.

Which ICS ROM you go for?

I got much to do now before I can flash to ICS.

Flash to latest official ROM + root it. Cause CF-ROOT doesn't support the ROM in this phone now.  sweat.gif

Well, I dont see an emmc folder in either ES or Astro file manager. And mine can't play Youtube videos through the browser or through the youtube app. I really need this, so I might have to say goodbye to ICS until the HW codes are solved. cry.gif

Thanks again, finally managed to get there after a reboot. Have you managed to get flash in the browser or the Youtube app to work?

You mean the android settings can move games like gameloft to microsd(not the 16gb usb storage)?

To do that, you need to patch the apk to read off the memory card.

KNOWN BUGS:
- Stock Camera app --> lock the screen ---> phone won't wake up, needs hard reboot (will fix into 1.4x)

I have no such problem. I even lock the phone while recording a video, and the phone is still fine. Like I said, I much prefer NEAK to Siyah anyday. My battery life is just as good and the smoothness is way way better than Siyah ever was.

If you are really concerned about battery life, use the Siyah 2.1b13 as that has been the most efficient kernel for me ever. Many other people here feel the same.

Change proc? Whats that if you don't mind me asking,

Means changing the processor which directly means replacing the motherboard because all the components are soldered extremely closely on the PCB
