Hi guys, I apologize if this has been asked before here, about gaming and workstation cards for 3d rendering. I'm using 3dsmax for 3d renderings w/ vray and need to get a good laptop soon as my secondary system, and in another thread ppl advised me to get a quadro laptop for serious work. Sounds great, but the problem is that it costs a bomb and I have read in many other forums that high end gaming cards like the 970m/980m should be good enough. Plus you get a nice gaming laptop.

Question is, is it really recommended to get a quadro? I know it handles large polygons better and saves time on rendering, but how does it affect the quality of the render when compared to gaming cards? Is there a difference in the end result? I render stills btw, for interior perspectives.
