Just wanna ask if there is any action that can b taken against a beauty saloon that causes a severe outbreak of acne on my skin.

In end of July 2011, I signed up for a package in a beauty saloon for about RM1000 for 8 treatments that also entitles me to RM400 worth of free products.I bought an additional RM300 worth of products which makes the total money spent RM1300.
Initally for the first few treatments,my skin improved slightly,but the last two treatments made my skin deteriorate badly.Whn I went back to the beauty saloon,the owner said it was normal for the skin to have outbreak aft treatment,now is aft two months and the outbreaks did not stop,it turned into big painful patches on my skin.I never had this type of acne before. I guess the treatment and the products aggravated my condition badly.

Can I know if there is any compensation that I can seek from the beauty saloon? Now my I'm on antibiotics and each visit to the dermatologist will cause about RM300. Besides all the products that I bought is rendered useless. I really hope that u can give me some opinion on this

yes, you can try complain to Consumer Tribunal. Also check with ministry of health whether their products are approved. Chances are most of the salons here are using non-approved products from ministry of health.

Check with Health Ministry... ask for help..
