QUOTE(Everythings @ Jan 4 2012, 01:38 PM) Hi Ladies & Gentlemen out there, I stay in taman Danau desa (near Old klang road )and have worked in cyberjaya for 5 years till last year...in terms of travel there are several alternates u can take to get to cyberAs the title posted. Where should I stay if I working at Cyberjaya? Please suggest a comfortable place ? If can please provide the details like the duration from xxx to Cyberjaya need take how long ? Taman Danau Desa - is it suitable ?? Thanks you all in advance !! =) 1. Use old klang road to puchong road towards Ioi mall then using ldp and onwards to cyber-surprisingly less traffic going towards IOI (compared to the opposite site going into kl which is heavy jam)-travel time roughly 40-50 minutes and pay only rm1.60 toll.Coming back from cyberjaya avoid this road ldp quite jam. 2. Take maju expressway, head to kuchai lama into NPE and connect to Maju expressway. Travel time35 minutes (if u go 110km/hr and above maybe faster, I regularly can take less then 20 minutes coming back frm cyber...) most expensive pay toll rm2.50 . My favorite route coming back from cyber to taman desa since when u exit MAX . there is slight congestion on sungai besi to pj interchange but taman desa exit is rite around the corner, u dnt get caught to badly. 3.Use Besraya highway , go to kuchai lama into Besraya highway onwards to SKVE and into cyberjaya. Toll only rm1.30 travel time 40 minutes plus. This is my favorite route going to cyber as cheapest and less traffic going outbound to cyber (compared to incoming) but coming back maybe jam at kuchai lama coz of traffic lights. Conclusion ..if u head outbound to cyberjaya, the traffic is less heavy compared to inbound to KL(I always feel sorry for people going into kl, every road I go, the opposite road is jam packed)...so even if you stay far like in taman desa still worth the travel time... |

QUOTE(rayng18 @ Jan 4 2012, 04:30 PM) Danau Desa is near the Theme park. working in Cyberjaya better if stay around Sri kembangan, Equine Park, Bkt Puchong areas which is nearear. Danau Desa will be jammed at Seremban Highway NOt really...if you stay in Taman Desa, once you exit taman desa, you can reach the MEX highway very quickly. YOu dont even need to use seremban highway.Added on January 5, 2012, 8:32 amReally depend on what you want and what is your priority..... no one can provide you with good suggestion without knowing that....Distance, time to work, convenience at home, etc This post has been edited by spydermind: Jan 5 2012, 08:32 AM |

QUOTE(Everythings @ Jan 4 2012, 01:38 PM) Hi Ladies & Gentlemen out there, Hi, can consider staying in Bukit Jalil or Bukit OUG. I've been working in Cyberjaya for more than a year while staying in Bukit OUG. There are plenty of ways to get to Cyberjaya. As the title posted. Where should I stay if I working at Cyberjaya? Please suggest a comfortable place ? If can please provide the details like the duration from xxx to Cyberjaya need take how long ? Taman Danau Desa - is it suitable ?? Thanks you all in advance !! 1. via MEX - 20 minutes to 25 minutes max cause there is no jam at all. Toll RM2.50. 2. via LDP - 30 minutes. Toll - RM1.60. Using this route to Cyberjaya is jam free but please avoid this route while returning as the traffic is bad at IOI - LDP. 3. via Besraya - 35 to 40 minutes. Toll - RM1.30. Same as above. 4. via Kinrara 6 -> Puncak Jalil -> Sri Kembangan - 35 to 40 minutes. Toll Free. With this route you go thru residential areas & the only delay happens at Sri Kembangan traffic light at peak hours. Cheers! |

Added on January 5, 2012, 1:45 pmif other than cyber putra or dengkil, u can stay puchong, rather than seri kembangan or bukit jalil... puchong is more happening, in my opinion This post has been edited by puahxx: Jan 5 2012, 01:45 PM |

Boring or not, depends how many days you work and how many days you want to party or shop ....
One of my friend told me that since he works long hour, so he is staying in cyberjaya and somemore have some sport activities with colleague 2 times a week. He saves tremendous amount of time traveling ....only during the weekend, he goes to 1 utama or Mid Valley. Rental in Taman desa is not that cheap if you factor in the fuel for 25-30km (single way), which would be about 50-60km and @ RM0.18 per km, everyday RM10 just for the transportation, not to mention about time, wear and tear, etc. no right or wrong, but depends on your priority |

Pls take note that the road in/out of SK in the morning and evening is a NIGHTMARE. The line to pass the traffic light can take you back 1-2 km.

QUOTE(spydermind @ Jan 5 2012, 06:46 PM) Boring or not, depends how many days you work and how many days you want to party or shop .... Exactly. Apart from toll, the next cost is fuel plus maintenence cost and rental in KL will be more than rental if at Dengkil, Equine Park and another choice is Kota Warisan. One of my friend told me that since he works long hour, so he is staying in cyberjaya and somemore have some sport activities with colleague 2 times a week. So, staying near to work place will save more and with the extra time, we can go do exercise more or rest more. else, just wasted all the time in the car. |

actually i think the demography of an area is important to some people i.e. malay prefers bangi because majority there are malay stores, etc... chinese prefers sri serdang because of the chinese products, etc...
perhaps TS should just go drive around all he listed choices to find out for yourself... |
