First of all, this is what im getting currently ISP: Elisa (I live in Estonia) Huawei E367 + TP-Link MR3420 + External antenna. Signal strength is 74% (-67dBm), transmitter is about 200m away. 1) Would buying a DC-HSPA+ dongle give me better signal/speed/stability, even if we don't transmit DC-HSPA+? 2) Which is the best dongle you can currently get (excluding 4G ones)? 3) Would updating the E367's firmware to the latest give me any boost in speed or stability?

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Sep 14 2012, 07:31 PM) well I think the Huawei E3131 model is not available in asia region here and hardly can encounter it but I think there is a similar model to it, Huawei E353,.. similar specs, is this -> Huawei E3131 ? you can try, it should work with TP-LINK 3G router as it is very flexible 3G router accept most brand of usb modem Just that I managed to broke the antenna port on my E367, so the antenna input doesnt want to stay in place and I have to use duct tape for that, which is a big mess, so I have been thinking of replacing it with E3131, but there is no information or comparisons on the internet.

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Sep 14 2012, 07:58 PM) if u are using CRC9 convertor connect your modem, please be real careful when u pull it out,. the huawei external antenna hole gold ring is very fragile,.. i broke my huawei E1762 before,. so i know The inner ring is in one piece, but the outer plastic ring, that holds the antenna in the port, broke off, so i just had to force the antenna into the contact and tape it down.

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Sep 14 2012, 08:15 PM) if u have the budget, best consider DC-HSPA+ 42Mbps modem instead of HSPA+ 21Mbps modem, it will at least increase your speed DC-HSPA+ isnt transmitted by my ISP, we do have an ISP, that does, but the signal doesnt spread to my area. Also only E372 is being sold here and that costs a fortune (110 EUR, which is around 450 in your currency).

QUOTE(wkkm007 @ Sep 14 2012, 08:46 PM) did u order 1 haha Added on September 15, 2012, 2:01 ammaybe you just get an 7.2mbps modem since you can't use the H+ net. this should be cheaper. Do your country service provide free modem with sim lock or contract on some broadband plan? My network is 21Mbits, so its HSPA+. My country provides a free unlocked modem depending on what subscription I take. As I took the most expensive one with no DL, UL and bandwidth limits I got the E367 for free.
