anyway ![]() quite large image ahead. rehosting at imgur didn't help to resize accordingly » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « sorry for hurting your tengkuk. i rotate in laptop but when rehost, it reverts to original orientation as taken with ipon .-. overall initial-assembly comment: 1. Mold quality is rather bad, but not terrible. Sanding and trimming so far seems ok 2. Snapping-fit may need some gluing on some parts. so far, seems ok, would just require some slight modelling skill. i decide to assemble with head first, becos it's smallest part to assemble, and would able to tell quality the fastest This post has been edited by MyKy44: Mar 28 2012, 12:22 AM |

brief look at the runners, sad to say it's almost true. Mold quality is rather bad. But sanding/trimming may seem to overcome them.

done snapping half the body. QC-wise, yeap it's bad.
i had to perform plastic-editing on few of the parts; cutting/trimming/measuring the parts till it fits. i'll post pics/review 2moro. so far, i'm still ok with the kit. Some of uols might say quality is same or worse than GHD. for me, i think it's ok becos Bandai do not have this kit, whereas PG Strike mold is already available. So with that, i still have some tolerance level for this Nighty colour-wise, quite similar to Char's Zaku ver 2.0. depending on my mood, i might go for AB on this kit (my AB skills need deep underground resurrection....) it's definitely not a kit for newbies. |

1/100 Nightingale review Pt III
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « summary: 1. plastic quality is really bad. molding inconsistency is very consistent 2. require a lot of cutting, trimming. 3. Many parts doesn't snap-fit readily, need engineering rework (fuh seh giler poyo ayat...) 4. despite all the shitty quality and rework to be done, surprisingly i'm not pissed at all. i get this weird nice feeling that when i snapped it at the end, it look quite good, just need more finishing touches. once again, this is not a kit for newbie. for others with some basic skills, this is one kit tht'll be good to hone your skills. Next: Arm and Wing |
