Sure, but it's safer than those mechanical 2.5" HDD. My Xbox 360 never been dropped, yet the 250GB is dying.

make a rule like i do when you borrow your friend a disk or a book, if its damaged pls replaced it or do not borrow from me.

alternative way its to use a pendrive max 16gb for your game installation?

If your xbox is modded, you can. Else, no use making ISO/images of it as the optical drive only will read the originals.

And as far as I can remember, xbox can only utilize 16GB max on the pendrive.

Yep, but still you can save them in the built-in 4gb flash memory if the HDD is dying.

Well, yea but hardly enough. I don't play with my xbox so often, my 4gb has nearly ran out so I went and grab a 250gb hdd to add-on. Forza 3 with DLC already took up 2.5gb.

DLC can be downloaded back easily since it's tied to your ID, but save games? Once it's corrupted (along with the hard disk and you have no backup) then it's gone, forever.

Couldn't agree more than that. I save all my save files on the 4gb, which is totally dedicated to the save files. Aside from that, MS also put their essential files from updates there also. So, even 4gb is limited to certain extend. Plus kinect install its driver on the 4gb. whistling.gif

I do not own a 4GB version, but I would imagine that you can always free up some spaces by deleting TU for any games that you do not play anymore. Yes, deleting the cache can't be done individually, and it's tedious but hey cleaning up is good aight? whistling.gif

Yea, but I have a separate pendrive, 8gb for all those stuff downloaded off Market like trailers and demos.

Cloud storage for xbox is limited to save. And the hassle of uploading it there. tongue.gif

Yeah, but right now, for Gears of War 3 alone, I have backup not only on my removable drive, but also on cloud storage, just in case... whistling.gif

BTW, game saves are normally small enough to upload and sync and download quickly even on a 1mb shitmyx connection.

I'm not sure how it works but it doesn't automatically update itself all the time.
