Weird, im using go launcher too, bout 7 widgets, few folders in honescreen, phone memory bout 104mb,i dun set any min cpu, not facing the lag u mention, n mine is arc not arc s.. there only a split sec lag wheneva i enable data or wifi, but it only lyk a sec.. the only issue i hv wit this phone so far is the battery life, only up to max 15 hrs fullcharge, plenty of browsing wif 3g..
*
I'm using Arc (non-S) using go launcher with 3 screens, 7 widgets, a few folders and many icons. Mostly is smooth unless it doing background processing thing like indexing picture file for gallery or the moment after closing the browser. My free RAM is mostly around 50MB to 80MB. I don't feel the need to kill the task to free up the memory because I see no difference in performance with 80MB and 150MB. If you need to use high memory usage apps then android will kill other apps to allocate the extra memory to it. However, I feel that it lags because of the extra apps we installed and not the phone itself. Oh, Live wallpaper make it even worst.

For my case, the battery is great. I don't have data plan and I can make it last 5 days on moderate usage.

5 days?? shocking.gif  do u even use ur phone?  tongue.gif  tongue.gif

I'm not kidding. For that 5 days I sent around 5-10smses , voice call 15-20mins daily & sometimes on bluetooth device while driving. I never expected to last this long because everyone complaining 1-2 days max. I checked my battery status and the highest percentage usage is cell phone and not the display. I didn't use wifi and screen brightness at 30% only. If you keep on playing around with your phone sure cannot hold that long. You can try to minimize the display usage and I think you can get 5 days too.

If using wifi and other multimedia task only can hold 1-2 days only, same like you all.

no data plan?
dont play with ur phone unnecessarily?
5 days u get 15-20mins call and 10 sms?

is it ur 2nd line?
*
Normally I didn't use my personal phone during work hours and only use it after work, unless got personal sms or call. However, during weekend battery last 1-2 days only because always play around with it. Heavy usage only can last half day.

Phone clock will reset when battery took out for long time (I not sure how long, maybe 5-15 minutes??). Same thing happen to battery drained until 0% and not immediate charge it. This is normal phenomenon.

How old your battery now? Almost 1 year? Charge and discharge process will deteriorate your battery performance from time to time. If your battery still new, there are many factors can cause battery drain fast depends on your usage, apps install and many more. Try study your battery usage first, look which process drain your battery more.

You using 2.3.3 or 2.3.4?

Hi guys, I'm current still on 2.3.3. If update to 2.3.4 will it eat up more of the internal memory? My balance around 80MB only. Is there any improvement on performance on 2.3.4?

That is why i was hopin sony wil reveal xperia p a.k.a sony nyphon. It is a dual core phone n also very arc design alike. And ofcoz if only the pic of it is tru tho. Also if it is real, i hope this tym sony wil use a much better quality plastic/materials for it. I be damm if the crack issue came out again in their future phone.

For pic of xperia p/nypon, just google it k, lazy to put it here.

Mine also got crack after 6mths but I don't think it is a big problem because you hardly notice it.

in my case, notice or not is one thing...but once it cracks, itll get worse over time... and knowing how my wife is with her phones, the "over time" part will be sooner than most laugh.gif

but...this phone is still top contender in my list... for now.
*
I still haven't heard the crack problem gotten any worst but I agree that buying a product which will have problem is hard to accept.

well if u click the link i posted on the previous page...theres a good example of getting worse biggrin.gif
*
OK, I clicked the link your posted and it is much severe than I expected. I thought it just on the sensor but I was wrong. I inspected my phone properly and I see got 2 cracks around the sensor. I think it will peel of soon. smile.gif On the safe side, better wait for Xperia S.

Guys, afta 6 months using this arc, i decided to use it naked without any cover.. i put on protecting cover since the first day.. but i think using naked is so muc better n lok muc more stunnin. N since this phone wil crack no metter how care u r, so i think it is better to live wit it hehe
*
I read got ppl suspect the crack caused by using the power button too much and I think got another reason; If you texting in landscape mode or playing certain games with virtual controller, your hand will apply some pressure to the phone too. I never use the power button to off the phone but I texting a lot in landscape mode and play games with virtual controller. Maybe this is the cause?

I wanna extend the life of the Arc. Need to install custom ROM soon. Any recommendation for stable and full functionality ROM? Normally after install the ROM how much storage left. Stock default =285MB only.
