Hi Guys,

Still having the lag issue, here is what I have done so far...

Installed Memory Optimizer (configured auto kill)
Remove quite alot of unused apps.
Remove unwanted widgets. Now homescreen got 3 widget only. (Email, Calendar & Elixir)

When I play games my device still lags or jams.... crap... this is bad...

I understand almost all users recommend supercharger, but i cannot install it cause the moment I do I am unable to access my Good Client Email which I need to access for work. Apparently Good Client Email can only work on original roms due to its security thing...

I really appreciate if anyone can advise what can I do to speed this up.

I move from Galaxy S (1ghz processor) to ARC S due to the faster processer speed, however now it's getting WORST!....

how much your ram left now?

Hi Bro,

Norton Utilities says I got a total of 340MB available. currently only using 220MB so that leaves about 120MB free.

If I use the default Android app, My RAM utilization is 165MB Used and 175MB free.
*
should be gud..im only 53 mb ram left...fyi the free ram is cache + actual free ram...always make the cache lower as possible because arc s got very limited of ram...try delete your cache memory...

btw is it all type of game makes your phone lag or one specific game only..

Hi Bro,

Before we continue, I would like to thank you for help... really appreciate it.

Yup, normally when my cache reach 20MB i will clear it off...

ermm... good questions, here are the list of games i have installed...

Winds Of Steel (Lag... very bad)
Lets Golf HD (Lag)
Fruit Ninja (Lag and sometimes auto close)
Can Knockdown 2 (no problem... very smooth)
Robo Defence (Lag)
Guns and Glory (no problem... very smooth)
Worms (no problem... very smooth)

Thing is, the home screen it self lags... it takes about 2 seconds from the time I press the "Phone" button till the time it shows me the dial pad.... I even compared it to a SE ARC... and the SE ARC loads faster than my ARC S....  rclxub.gif
*
ok i did try download wind of steel demo and fruit ninja...wind of steel was smooth but fruit ninja i got stucked at loading hmm.gif ...other 3d game had tried smooth riptide and nfs hot pursuit...but lets golf 3 quite lag, even that game is lag also in my xoom with 4.04 custom ics...

for the dial im facing the lag also..not big deal to me tongue.gif

i think la...because of changing of different version of rom like from GB to ics need to do fully data wipe..because it may be can cause data conflict in the file system(or may be not sweat.gif )...even when want to flash different vers custom rom need to do full data wipe and and cache wipe also ...when i update the ics before im facing terrible lag also, then im do full data wipe and cache wipe ..after that i the phone become smoother...that my experienced laa..

maybe otai android here got their own experiences can be share thumbup.gif

btw wind of steel is a nice game..will buy the full version.. biggrin.gif

Am still a little blur, I need u help explain.

Sony Ericsson Arc x12
Now mine is 2.3.4  / 4.0.2.A.0.42. Never root or unlock.
Ori Thorus still got 6 months waranty!

1. If I root phone does my warranty void?  Yes or no?

2. When root phone already, will I get superuser /root permission?

3. Does unlocking bootloadet void waranty? For what unlock bootloader?

4. When I root will it accidently unlock bootloader?
Then will my data all be erased?

5. When already have super user permission which to use titanium Or root explorer or recommend me.

I just need root access to remove junk apps like this post below so need unlock bootloader not?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1614761#

For this rooting what's best method?
Can recommend some tutorial or methods.

Thx.
*
1)no..if unrooted back
2)yes
3)yes.for flash new kernel and custom rom
4)rooting and bootloader unlock is different process.no data erase.
5)titanium is to backup and uninstall apps..root explorer to explore and edit root file system
6)no need.

xda root

i cannot find sticky mount in market also.
can give link?

so u already have busy box then u just install this app n it works?

bro try USB Otg storage manager, see can detect both ur pendrive not.

post results here.
*
Haha..sorry bro,not sticky mount but stick mount ,Android keyboard pandai2 auto correct..
Busy box is preinstalled when rooted..
Use USB otg helper to load the driver and stick mount to mount the flash drive..only this method are working to me..

I think no need to pay for USB otg manager when other free apps are working...biggrin.gif

Update for now.
Had using about 39 hours and still had 34% juice to go.  Normally i just get around 16 hours with the same duration. So it definitely worth to buy it.

nice bro.... thumbup.gif

Darn, I totally didn't know the Arc can be used with mouse n keyboard. I saw someone mentioned this phone needs BusyBox and StickMount app in order to be able to detect the pen drive. Means the phone needs to be rooted? Mine is currently not rooted.
*
i think for keyboard and mouse dont need to root or use other apps, can connect to your big tv screen and wireless game pad ,keyboard and mouse , better use with sony live dock thumbup.gif .....but if need to detect flash drive you need to root ...
