do you guys really rate suarez (luiz that is) that highly? i figure he's skillful, and he's a handful to handle, but he isn't clinical enough. personally, i would imagine gervinho and suarez are about the same in terms of finishing.
looking at goals scored this season in the EPL, suarez has 5 goals vs gervinho's 4 goals. i'd rather get henry on loan. =)

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Jan 6 2012, 03:23 PM) Luiz Suarez... Scored some important goals for Liverpool when they needed them last season, but does he offer the same kind of impact as Torres did when the latter first arrived? No. Same goes with Andy Carroll. Gervy is a different kind of player being used in a different manner. Right now he offers us something that our recent teams haven't been able to provide, i.e. directness in his play and penetration. His inefficient finishing is indeed frustrating, but as long as he keeps getting into the correct positions he'll get chances and eventually he'll put them away. Remember the time when Bendtner was ridiculed for not scoring despite having 5, 6 chances in one game? He grabbed a hattrick in the next match. Speaking of Bendtner... He's getting into a lot of trouble and we all know how intolerant le Boss is to mischievous players. The chances of him returning to Arsenal is getting slimmer by the minute and if he keeps this shit up he'll find it hard even at other clubs. He's still better than Chamakh who can't score and Park who can't even get a freaking game to be honest. The jury is still out on Titi's loan deal. I'm not having any kind of expectations on him really, but if he could do what Henrik Larsson did for MU some time ago that'd be swell. i pretty much agree with all your points. the point i was trying to make was why arsenal would want suarez (whose finishing ratio is similar to gervy. i'm just taking it at face value of what i've seen of them and the current season's stats) when a clinical finisher ala torres at liverpool and henry for arsenal in his prime is what we need to relieve some of that humongous burden that RvP currently carries. as for the henry loan deal, it'll be good i'd imagine, if only to lift the players' spirits at the very least. if he can be our henrik larrson for MU, that would be best 2 month loan deal ever for arsenal. =)

QUOTE(toshio14 @ Jan 19 2012, 01:18 PM) on the other hand, (in Booker T style) tell me, he did not just said that *pengsan* i fail to understand how statements like these help the club at all. even if they know that to be true, at least leave to the end when the team has tried their hardest to qualify but fell short. you say it now, the team will feel even more demotivated as it is. and yes, i definitely agree with toshio14 and kazek that the mental strength and motivation is definitely missing.

i'm always worried when arshavin starts... this isn't the arshavin of old... the arshavin nowadays does little to inspire confidence. and ramsey will need to be in the form of his life if arsenal are to have a fighting chance....
but all the same, i'll be watching and hoping for the best.

Can't understand how wenger can say we don't need reinforcements when djourou is getting his ass handed to him on a plate. And this isn't the first time either. Ramsey and walcott are having stinkers as usual and we're getting owned at home. Kinda sums it all up doesn't it?

Toothless, indecisive and headless. That's what I think or arsenal's play right now.
