QUOTE(FluidicSculpture @ Jan 9 2012, 07:58 AM) -Edited- How about the engine type in US? So for Malaysia,we only can get dual cvvt engine? Oh wait, easiest thing to do with a forum troll is to ignore him than to join him in his lifeless keyboard flinging. Nope, no GDi engine for Malaysia spec. Original car doesn't come with bodykit, but will match the look of the car in videos I shown so far. If you are the kind that 'go for broke' and want to get the most out of every single penny you pay, 1.8 is the way to go cause the difference between 1.6 High Spec and 1.8 Premium is very big in term of accessory trim. Didn't get any chance to test drive the car yet, only idle start. Steering feeling light is certain because the power steering is electric motor driven, you'll have to get used to not able to 'talk to the road' on cars with motor driven power steering. Please update once u test drive.. about the FC, emergency slot, color type....ofcoz, the most important thing-price.. Whole black on top for 1.8? What is black chrome? what accessories do ur friend import from Korea? All the supporters rely on u, bro fluidic!! |

earn low profit to build their reputation in US.. so that they can save a lot of advertising.. sharpen the knife and whack in Malaysia..
Even most of us had already known the engine is not GDi.. even everyone has already known the logo is inokom.. the awards that recognized by US have already covered one of our eyes.. they want profit to grow faster but neglect what hyundai's level should be.. Stand firm before u running.. be humble when u success.. be grateful before u falling down.. Hyundai, Can u hear me? |

Can anyone list out the differences between US version and Malaysia version for 1.8? As I know, GPi in US and MPi d-vvt in Malaysia. Does it affect the FC?

QUOTE(Chongkor @ Jan 23 2012, 02:20 AM) Why it's related to Accent? By the way no point to kill Elantra's sales just bcoz of Accent, it's not a hot model btw. Anyway from customer point of view this is not a good reason to markup Elantra price. Agree. Sound's like they gonna place an unreasonable price..it gives me 2nd thought to buy the car that I've dreamt for half yr.. maybe go for current civic before the 'big ass' launced.. In customer POV, no much ppl willing to take the risk to afford an Inokom with CBU's price.. their strategy might kill a lot of dreams.. |

QUOTE(Chongkor @ Jan 23 2012, 10:17 AM) The price is reasonable for RM110-RM115 for 1.8 Elantra, but Malaysian mindset when they made comparison there will be higher possibility for them to go for J car for the similar price. Btw i am not the business minded person, so maybe SD got their good strategy and marketing plan. I'll get it if OTR is <115k.. I won't spend >115k for CKD..Added on January 23, 2012, 11:50 am QUOTE(WheelieWonka @ Jan 23 2012, 11:37 AM) If they choose to price it abt RM110k, the current Civic and 2.0 Mazda 3 already has some sales discounts, for almost same monthly repayments, don't you think most ppl will go for estb Jap brands? Civic gerenti ada resale value, why should I buy Elantra at this price? Civic 1.8 tsi =+/-118k- This is the question ppl with ask the SD salesmen, what will be the answer? Mazda2.0 =+/-120k Elantra1.8 =<110k It should be price less than 110k if compare to J car? Anyway, K car resale value is really hard to compromise Malaysian mindset.. QUOTE(k3nji @ Jan 23 2012, 11:53 AM) elantra is more than 100k? 1.6 spec should be 9xk.. I keep OTR 110k under my pillow and dream it every night.. gonna get it for my birthday present.. i think,,if elantra price being put around 90-95k,,it will definitely get a massive purchase from user in malaysia that will migrate from honda city/vios to elantra.. |
