selling off a 1 year old car would bring u roughly the same returns as a 2 year old car. what did he expect?

Agreed. The moment the car is out on the road, the value depreciates by 20% regardless of make/model.
Even my mate driving a 400K BMW knows that (so he advised me to buy a house instead!!)

This was reported in The Star yesterday.....wonder if this has anything to do with the delay? If it comes true, the value of CBU 1.8L cars may drop in future??? Maybe I should hold out for a VW?

'The analyst said the Government might remove the condition of having a RM150,000 basement price for the 1.8-litre and above passenger car segment.

“This would boost demand for such cars, as the foreign carmaker can sell such cars at more competitive prices,” he said.'

I am not quite understand about this. Currently even the D-seg car can be had under 140k (Sonata LS). Is there such a thing that minimum price for that particular segment is 150k? shocking.gif
Maybe you can wait for the CKD Jetta... Now 150k so maybe CKD will bring it below 130k

Actually, that's what I thought too. I'm sure there are 1.8L cars under 150K . Then maybe they're talking about CBU units??
