dunno if fan working or not.. but when i touch the compressor, can feel it vibrating la. so i guess something is still running...
dont think its under warranty anymore..almost 5 years already.. all this while the compressor always make a lot of noise so i thought its ok..
then the big bang happened...
u touch the compressor?? or u touch the outdoor unit? the compressor is inside the outdoor unit, u wont be able to touch it unless u open the panel. dont think its under warranty anymore..almost 5 years already.. all this while the compressor always make a lot of noise so i thought its ok..
then the big bang happened...
but since u say vibrating, then means the compressor is kinda still working. fan should turn, if no hot air blows out, then sth is wrong with the refrigerant circuit.
did u service your air cond before? frequent use everyday? when the refrigerant gets less, the compressor will compress the refrigerant more, resulting in a higher compression ratio, and compressors usually fail faster.. so the loud bam, probably is from burst pipe due to high compression ratio.. that's my guess..
they probably will suggest u to buy a new one since its ady 5 years old..
