 Is skipping and jumping the same?, just being curious

not the same coz to do skipping u need to get ur tempo correct so the rope will not sangkut at ur feet, where as jumping&swinging arms can be done easily by children

it is not the same in my opinion. skipping involve more body coordination, train your body to move in rythm, improve footwork, brain, eyes, hands and legs coordination. if you're into the more difficult movement for eg: double unders, criss cross etc, it can improve your coordination big time. if you jump without the rope, u'll just get the same cardiovascular benefit, without other benefit offered by jumping ropes.

No, because one requires coordination while the other doesn't. Just like skipping and doing double unders is again different coz of the level of coordination needed.
