mel, dont take this the wrong way.
sometimes i feel u dont give urself the credit u deserve.
u look good/great, but mayb as u said not 'awesome' yet.
the longer u brag about u being small, not big etc, kinda reminds me of those smart students who get 99% but brag about not getting 100% u knaw wat i mean...

hi everyone! i'm new here. i've read through all the posts and looked through the photos too, very inspiring stuff. and a very helpful little community here that u have. i hope i'm welcome to join in and in some way can contribute to the community too smile.gif

a bit about myself:

- i've always been skinny, never had a belly. i wish to change that. i mean not to add belly of course tongue.gif but to no longer be just skinny.
- i lived quite an active lifestyle for the past few years, played basketball frequently. i thought that could've been the reason why i stayed skinny. this year i only i've only been hiding in my room and barely go out, but nope, didn't gain any weight.
- i thought i was a hardgainer, but now i believe that it might just be that i don't eat enough to gain any mass.
- there was a time (around early 2010) when i 'seriously' went to the gym for 6 weeks and finished two tubs of weight gainers (GNC's, crazy rip-offs). i gained 4 kg of muscle mass. my bodyfat percentage was 5%. i continued going to the gym for some time and maintained. then i just slacked off and my fitness deteriorated.
- which brings me to today. i've worked out a 6 week workout regime which i'm going to try out. i was hoping by the end of this intense 6 weeks, i can see changes and will be brave enough to put before and after photos here tongue.gif
- i'd love to be able to eat & eat & eat, but being a student means that my financial stand is not strong enough to really let me eat as much as i want. can't wait to start working next year!

emm, that's about it. looking forward to making friends here. peace out!

good gene! biggrin.gif
when u r a studying, u need supportive parents. not all of them like the idea of their kids spending so much on 'gym food'.
having said that, i think u know what u need, which is a good start. good luck!

QUOTE(Galant @ May 2 2012, 05:56 PM)
Hi guys. Didn't seem to progress at all after 2 months. Below are my humble pics:

Typical diet:
Pre-workout: 5 teaspoon oat + 1 teaspoon Honey + a Banana

PWO: 2 slice banana, 2 glass milk

Breakfast: Varies - kokocrunch, mee, bun etc

Pre-lunch: 2 cod liver oil + vit c

Lunch:
[attachmentid=2820429]
Something like the above with added rice (1 bowl), 2-3 slice more tofu and slightly more chic

High-tea: Varying fruits - portion around 1-2 apples/oranges

Dinner: Similar with lunch (sometimes reduced meat), less carbs

Before bed: Half-glass milk, 2 cod liver oil

Sleep: 4-6 hours
My training schedule: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2279029
Weight increased from 65-66.5 kg, abdomen reduced from 35-34.5', but other than that, no difference.

Hope you guys can comment and give suggestions for improvements (Diet, training, etc).
While aesthetics are not my priority, not looking like I exercised or changed my diet AT ALL after 2 months does makes me a little uneasy smile.gif
I ain't taking any protein supplements at the moment, so probably should start considering?

Thanks in advance! (On a side note, i'll be off to Jakarta for 2 months. If i have access to gym there, great. If not, would hv to resort to calisthenics)

got to b straight forward here, your diet sucks.
it looks healthy, but way too much carbs imo. mee, rice, bun, kokocrunch, milk, fruits are all carbs
cut the carbs down, increase some protein intake, easiest option: eggs, tofu etc

If you are on IF, the window should be 16 hours fasting and 8 hours feeding. Unless you have a very huge appetite, then you can go for the 20/4 ratio but if not, better stick to 16/8 ratio.

No, there shouldn't be a side effect unless increasing your mass is a side effect. More serving = more calorie. mass gainers didn't have any side effects IMO.
*
do note mass gainers are generally filled with a lot of sugar and for some brand with high saturated fat and sodium as well.

and i prefer to dirty bulk with solid food than taking mass gainers, knowing the fact i can enjoy eating the real food.
emino, you being an ecto, i seriously don't understand what is holding you back to go all out (bulking, that is).
