m11x screen maybe too small for me. looking around 14 to 15 inch. xps 15 looks great. anyone using it? besides i saw a few types of cpu options. How do i know the differences? And lastly is there any website that compares all gpu speed side by side?

guys i'm having a bit of dilemma. Which laptop should i get. The alienware m14x or dell xps 15?
Does the 3D card in m14x a major leap from xps 15?
Any opinions would be appreciated?
thx

Isnt the xps15 only using a GT420M card? Between the two I'd say get m14x for performance. Cheesenium's laptop use the same card as well if I remember (GT555M).

Btw gaming laptops age pretty fast, dont know how long will GT555M be ok for gaming.

xps 15 uses GT 540M. I read that usually alienware products are slightly overpriced due to the brand name right?

but you have to consider one thing

alienware/dell have good warranty

lets say your gc fried, they'll exchange it on spot within 1 day + if still under warranty

Yeah exactly. Main reason why i'm sticking to dell side is because of their unparallel customer service. Now my only decision lies btw these 2 laptops..have to do some research into both of them first. Just thought that someone might have alienware here and could give feedback on it.

What you plan to use this laptop for ? Work ? Pure gaming ? I need to know that

A split of work and gaming. Will be starting uni next month. Now i'm more or less getting the xps 15. Comparing with alienware, the only difference is that alienware GPU is better than xps otherwise the rest of the components are better on xps. xps comes with 2gb GT 540M. Is it still a powerful GPU card?

I'm not expecting to play every game on max as i tend to prefer performance to games than graphics.

Also I want to say thx to everyone for helping me out here. Really helpful in my decision. rclxms.gif
