No joke, but I had to say I need to second this. Sorry mate.
Unless you come up with something to proof you otherwise, write an appeal to steam suggesting what have happen.
This is the reason why I don't trade with someone I do not know.
But normally if we use steam trade, and trade the item on the spot, there will be no problem at all. No one can report anyone as scam as both party can see what item is been trade b4 pressing ok.
(Even he trade you a coupon for a game, if later he report you scam him, I dun think steam will ban your trade privilege)
Now the problem is ppl dun want to trade on the spot. Ppl always like to ask someone send as gift to him first, then later he send you the "key" or code or anything. That one always no guarantee as we never know that person can trust or not, plus if later he report scam, you get ban by that.
So I never trade outside the steam trade function. With this, all the trade got record, no one can report anyone scam or not receive the thing.
If A trade B a game worth $5 while B trade A $10 game, I dun think he can report to steam that he been scammed as both party can see the item b4 agree in pressing ok.
