Curious about one thing. Some people mentioned that they got DOTA 2 gift from the contest. Is this just the beta access, or for the full version of DOTA 2?

For me I'm hoping I can refrain from buying games even in Summer Sales ... or at least, spend lesser tongue.gif

I need to save up for a new graphic card this year. Makes no sense to buy so many games but not the hardware to play it sweat.gif

No full price for me these days. tongue.gif

At most I've paid for a single game is $40, for BF3 russian edition, and Skyrim on Steam sales.

someone just blindly offer me dead island keys. should i take it?

If something is too good to be true, it probably is.

Be careful with all this sudden free stuff. Who in their right mind will offer strangers a game for free? sweat.gif

am i vac clean? what i cant do?
*
This is probably what you wanted to know:

1. Yes your are VAC clean. VAC has nothing to do with Trade Ban.

2. VAC ban is indisputable and irreversible no matter what happens, even if someone hack your account. However, you can probably reverse a trade ban if you can prove that you did not commit any fraud.

Thats the difference between the 2 ban

Good luck

Anyone can say anything in a chat.

I can claim I never receive a game even if I did. However, trade history doesn't lie. We don't have access to it but maybe Valve did

Which is why IcedMelon should contact Steam support

Yep, trading problems come when people trade outside of Steam trading system by sending gift and expect something in return.

No matter how good the offer is, please refrain from trading outside of Steam trade system. Don't trade something expecting a CD key or a gift later. Either trade in the trade system or don't do it at all.

QUOTE(acapniamaxtor @ Jan 6 2012, 02:17 AM)
Guys, is it really ok to activate game via steam using a VPN if the game is region restricted??
*
I've read about many ppl who done that for Russian key they bought from CD key sites, it do works and you should be fine.

Only problem is you should ensure your key is a legit retail key and not stolen or generated from key gen. In any case, should the key become illegal, Steam will just remove it from your account.

someone claim that he won the grand prize : http://steamcommunity.com/id/psychomantis

Kind of weird though. He's US resident which should have access to everything there is on Steam. According to SAPI ranking, he's ranked 18 and other US resident have 50-60 or more games than him. Even if we take into account previous games that were removed, 50 looks like a big number.

modern warfare 3 gonna have 20 DLC?

http://asia.gamespot.com/news/activision-b...all%3Btitle%3B1

They say each is $15 so it will be $15x20=$300 for all DLC?
This game so expensive.

I miss the days when the community are allowed to create their own map and distribute it for free.

Thankfully we still have some games like The Elder Scroll and Fallout that allow us to mod the game and even Bethesda fully support the modding community by releasing official modding kits.

Interesting stats. I got this. tongue.gif

Hornet85
Has logged 654.3 hours of playtime — that's 27 days, 6 hours, and 18 minutes, where The Sims 3 is their most played game, which accounts for 15.0% of their playtime

Guys wanna ask if i use my Paypal and buy games on steam or reload money to steam wallet will they charge extra $$?
*
Nope, no extra charges. You get charged exactly the price of the games you are buying, or the exact amount of Steam Wallet funds you are buying.

I'm currently using Paypal since I don't have any credit card. Usually use the Steam wallet and my Paypal is charged exactly $50.00

How to check the exchange rate of steam wallet? I remember last time many people reload money into steam wallet due to the low exchange rate about 2.9+
*
As far as I know, Steam only takes USD from Paypal, they don't take MYR and exchange it to USD themself, so it depends on Paypal.

For me anyway, since I have to add funds to my Paypal first before I can buy anything online using Paypal, the funds in Paypal have to be in USD according to Paypal if I want to pay anything in USD, so my exchange rate is according to Paypal's rate.
