QUOTE(lowpro @ Apr 15 2012, 11:06 PM) Hi there. I'm new to this group. I have a 2010 Gen2 CPS (M) registered in 2011. Mods are: R3 cat back exhaust system (have not done the header), Works Engineering filter and NGK iridium plugs. Glad to meet you all. Welcome2.. QUOTE(lowpro @ Apr 16 2012, 12:54 PM) Was thinking it may affect the warranty as I still have one more year to go. This is considering that it removes the catalytic converter and also that it has some sensors in there. I may add it in if you guys say it is ok. I will definitely get the R3 version to complete the collection. no warranty void if change to r3 header.. you will feel the different when de-cat.. the sensor still be used if you change to the aftermarket header.. |

QUOTE(fazron80 @ Apr 16 2012, 04:40 PM) I did my exhaust before my car reaches 10K. For my car I know that it doesn't affect the engine warranty and gearbox. If my gearbox is kong wth it gotta do with my exhaust. Engine is a different concern coz it does connect to the exhaust. But I think if you did the r3 full system it doesn't affect warranty isn't. Eh when you decide to put the whole system in can you do dyno? Not directly after installing exhaust like I did in 2008. That was a mistake. Do it after 3 months maybe so that the result is more correct. Immediately after installing the exhaust I went for dyno. 6 month after that did another dyno and there's 4hp difference. +1you need to give a time to the ECU to learn again.. especially if you effected with heavy right foot syndrome after change the exhaust.. QUOTE(Azuma-kun @ Apr 16 2012, 04:59 PM) ATTENTION!!! if ambi pure with 15hp gained can count ahh..? Guys, I'm going to list down ur mods on ur car. Please PM me ASAP for what u have done including the date (estimation is ok), price, name of the shop/place + location it was done. Please state what is ur car as well. This is for the reference to all of the members. It is also to keep track about what u've done, just in case u forgot what or when u did it. It does not matter if it is performance, ICE, tint, exterior, interior. Minor mod like interior wrap, LED room light, DRL, LED strips and etc are welcome too. I hope all of the members will co-op with this. sori2 just kidding.. serious mode back.. This post has been edited by pAdiLaDEn: Apr 16 2012, 05:03 PM |

QUOTE(chrislyv @ Apr 17 2012, 06:31 PM) i think the engine will be quite rough also like campro.. bcoz its also based on campro.. i've play with exora cfe..engine power, do not expect much bcoz hav turbo.. can play with cps consider good liao.. i've seen they demo the preve.. power not tht impressive like turbo cars.. so i think better dont expect too much from it. also pray tht the CVT can tahan.. when exora 'tarik' my gen2 left behind.. high rev 3rd gear can chase back again.. then 4th gear can bye exora.. |

QUOTE(lowpro @ Apr 22 2012, 04:06 PM) by the way, i stand corrected guys. i did say that the preve was sluggish and noisy from my test drive a few days back with one of the showrooms in kl but when i tried the car again in seremban earlier today, it was the opposite. it was quite smooth, relatively quiet (at least quieter than my g2) and also had a decent kick. and up to 170kph, it handled like a gem even on fast sweeping corners. i played with the manual override and it was quite responsive. i only didn't quite like the rev limiter which changed up automatically even before (i think) the car reached its sweet spot. i also test drive preve today..wondering if the test car in kl was feeling a little under the weather that day. the seat rails don't go far enough though. my friend (who is a little vertically challenged) couldn't get the seat to reach close enough to the front for her to reach the pedals! well, one sale lost there. but then jumping back into my g2 cps manual, i think there's nothing quite like it. the preve is fine but i would still choose my g2 over it. manage to do 180kph at duke until the SA said "sabar bang".. NVH very good and no rattling sound compare to my gen2.. i'm not used to drive cvt car so i don't know the different when i change the gear up or down.. i felt same so i just press the acc harder.. conclusion i will wait for manual version that really suit with me.. |

QUOTE(mutt @ Apr 22 2012, 08:30 PM) i don't know how fast it reach because i also not aware of this..i just "borak2" with the SA until he said "sabar bang".. i looked at the meter and notice already 180kph.. the preve cabin so quiet make me thought i'm driving around 130-140kph.. QUOTE(mutt @ Apr 22 2012, 08:58 PM) i really need a car with good NVH. Less tiring during long journey driving. Mana punya dealer ko pegi? aku pergi proton sentul raya dkt area rmh aku..khamis lalu aku tanya ada test drive, SA tu ckp mggu dpn br ada.. tiba2 smalam dia call aku bgtau dah ada test drive.. book terus test drive utk hr ni.. queue pun blh tahan byk org nak test.. QUOTE(TripleJ104 @ Apr 22 2012, 09:21 PM) If u plan to use waja i suggest put sound insulation (or what it called?). Expensive but good investment. I agreed driving a good nvh car for long distance journey is less tiring. for me i think preve is easy to drive fast.. Added on April 22, 2012, 9:21 pm So in summary preve is really fast or easy to drive fast? This post has been edited by pAdiLaDEn: Apr 22 2012, 09:26 PM |

QUOTE(mutt @ Apr 23 2012, 10:33 AM) Inspira 1.8 manual. But what sells now are final stock i believe cos no more inspira 1.8 after this. but for me when i rev hard, the engine sound smoother compare without x1r.. Btw, i just pour x1r into my waja. I tried to think the extra oomph i got is just placebo effect but i think this real tho btw i'm using crap shell 95 because of bonuslink.. will try to see how many extra km will i get.. |

QUOTE(sphiroth @ Apr 23 2012, 11:56 AM) Some SA doesn't take any effort of explaining and maybe also learning the new tech, some even said CPS=Mini Turbo and also IAFM=CPS. Once at the showroom, a customer asked the SA why the persona boot got 2 'bonggol' inside the boot (for suspension) not like vios, and the SA just cannot explain this is for better stability during cornering (multilink). i just remembered yesterday at proton showroom 1 customer ask the SA about the engine in preve executive..the SA said "the premium use cfe and executive use cps" because i'm near with the SA so i interrupt "but in the catalogue writes iafm+" with confident the SA said "bang iafm+ sama dgn cps. nama je lain. marketing strategy." then i just smile and nodded (in my mind: wtfish).. |

QUOTE(mutt @ Apr 25 2012, 01:55 PM) if too expensive better opt for R3 package. rim 16 + tyre RM2999 only. at least the rim is lightweight and they are using RE002. the only concern is whether the rims color (got silver and gun metal) can match with blue haze also don't forget to buy Mcgad lock nut.. |
