Recently, i encountered that my saga blm 's speed would be slowed down till engine off automatically if i drive at highway for a longer time. It happens while the car is moving at high speed. And there is a yellow "pipe" signal would be lighted up.

Do u guys encounter this issue before?

yellow pipe?
better immediately make an appointment with proton...ask them to check whats wrong
its the "check engine" light
it can be very minor or very major problem
probably engine part problem or just need to reprogram the ECU
just go there and ask them to check...dn't wait

I'd venture a guess that's the "check engine" light. Means something wrong with your electronics or sensors. Send to Proton SC to check ASAP.

thanks guys. appreciate ur advices.

I have myvi ezi and saga blm highest spec which were bought at the same year. i have used them for about 3 years. Result is: myvi is more reliable, less service, only the windows buttons are not good, others are good.
Saga BLM? It uses me a lot money. DAMN. Change this change that, service this service that.

My advice to all of u who are thinking about myvi or saga blm, take Myvi! Proton cars are not reliable. Even persona also, my fren just bought, then the front wheel got issue, send back to workshop.

Proton, this is the last time i bought from u, i wont get cheated by u again! Cheap price cheap quality.

my blm 4 years already...until now still ok....just service on time and it should be ok
the myvi...if u dn't take care of it...that check engine light is going to pop out soon also

i'm not a fan of proton, i even hated it, but i've gotta admit, my saga doesn't has any problems apart from the stupid build quality of the plastic parts like door handles, the pathetic auto gearbox (not the cvt), the stupid brakes and the bad FC due to my driving style (it's got almost the same FC figures as my 1jz-vvti E30 on a trip to Cameron Highlands), using it for 3 years and counting. and price wise, the Myvi is just an overpriced piece of crap that doesn't have any practical use. do u think the Myvi doesn't have any problems at all? u may be one lucky owner who doesn't face any issues on it, the exact opposite story may be applied to other unlucky owners of Myvi. If u r using (abusing) the cars like i do, i don't think the Myvi will survive even 3 years, but the Saga definitely can, because as some guys who are local Camerons say, they won't buy Myvi to be used in Cameron because of obvious reasons. That's why u can't really find any locals who drive a Myvi. for Myvi's price, they'll either get the Saga or Persona.

Buying & getting delivery of a particular car depends so much on LUCK!! Think of the no. of parts that go into the assembly of a car... And the no. of ppl involved in the assembly & production of those parts...

CaptainMilk happens 2b 1 of those UNlucky buyers...feel sad & sorry 4yu... sad.gif

As for BLMs & related models, 1 other fmly relative bought a BLM in 2009 while another an FL abit earlier than my FL. My neighbour also got a 2009 BLM.

All our cars hv had NO undue expenses besides the same as other car makes eg oil & filter changes.
Any minor complaints were rectified FOC under its 3-year warranty.

So pls nvr make sweeping statements juz becos of one's UNfortunate experiences cos there are MyVi owners who had regretted buying that car due2 their bad luck...whereas yu were lucky with yr MyVi.

Alwaz count one's blessings...

even though they claimed persona iafm is different from blm, my house persona still suffered the tak tak tak tak tak sound hmm.gif
the whole leather skin at door panel peeled off, probably because they used cheapo glue hmm.gif
very loud and irritating sound from front/aircond area, which seems to be a genetic problem hmm.gif

other than that, the ride is good and comfortable notworthy.gif

My car check light engine started in year may 2012, till today cannot solve, until the check almost everything the problem still there. I had to work shop weekly , place my car for 1 day to 1.5 month problem still there.

As for me car is my rice bowl, most of the time my car is inside the workshop.

If would calculate up, actually proton car is one of the most expensive car, if you compare in the long term
