No one really cares if you don't cheat to finish a game so stop being elitist about it. I do and am not ashamed of it. We all have our ways to get the best out of games for ourselves, there's no right or wrong way to game. I like trophies and I like cheats and I like graphics (A LOT), if you have a problem with it, it's your problem.

EDIT: Let me give you a shocking admission, I cheated my ass to completion for FF7, 8 and 10 because I was too darn lazy to roam my ass around to level up for 20 plus hours. Sue me. I still love those games to bits smile.gif

No not really. But it depends on a lot of factors; time constraints, quality of the game, repetition, etc....

Games like FF8 and a lot of RPGS, I'd not be able to complete it were it not for cheats. I just didn't have the time/ability/dedication to learn about materias and everything else to build a good character. So what do I do? I cheat my way through. Did I enjoy the story as much as others? Yes.

Fallout 3 and Final Fantasy 10 were exceptions. I played FF10 for a run through without cheats because I wasn't bored of random walkthroughs encountering enemies to gain 10 EXPs and I liked the level up system and Fallout 3 is simple and addictive enough on Medium. laugh.gif I did use cheats for FF10 to see what it's like to be GOD with all spheres filled though.

Uncharted and Dead Space are classic examples why I find it okay to cheat. If you want a challenge, go ahead, I'm not stopping you but piss off if you're flaming me.

1) If the game developers didn't want people to cheat, they wouldn't put cheat codes for us to use!
2) I wouldn't tear my hair out over Chapter 4 Uncharted in Hard when I'd do it in Crushing so just use cheats to breeze through Hard mode. [Hate games where I need to play it twice to get 100% trophies]

And games like Need for Speed Undercover or Devil May Cry, I wouldn't play them if there weren't any cheats. It's just not worth it playing through that crap for its story.

And one more thing regarding cheating, anyone knows Football Manager for the PC? You know what I do? I have MULTIPLE club files.

1) Sutton Utd (the lowest club level club in English Football - Conference)
2) Liverpool
3) Hull City
4) Manchester United
5) Inter Milan.

For clubs 2,3,5 - I don't cheat because I am okay with those teams losing and I just want to try those teams out. For Clubs 1 and 4, I CHEAT my ass through. I want to create a 'fairytale' story with Sutton Utd reaching BPL in couple of seasons and for United, I cannot have them get defeated so I restart every game they lose tongue.gif Ngek ngek ngek..

It's still cheating lah. As long as you're not playing the game the way developers intended it to be, don't care glitching/cheating/bugging/exploiting, it's cheating.

Of course you could argue, if you needed to beat Uncharted Crushing with 100 times reloading at a checkpoint, doing so with a football game is the same what? But in Uncharted, you need to survive to continue the game. In football sims, losing is part of the game. : /

It'd take a long time but you don't have to cheat. There's this PS3 gamer who really games his way to a ton lot of trophies. Check his playfire profile. chucknorris0078.

But again, XBox achievements are somewhat distorted as swapping game saves also unlock achievements, no?
