if paired with original satellite, i will say subwoofer still ok for its job, imo actually is satellite pull down the overall performance, in term of mid bass/ soundstage/ treble, its subwoofer actually can be shake but require very loud to do so, and yet not enough deep, but problem arise with this situation, based on my case, around volume 32~34 is its maximum volume that satellite still under control, beyond this threshold, it start lost its dynamic, treble became harsh(too bright) and minor distort to my ear, but bass around 27~28 just start show its present until 4x still remain controllable, but still cant do well with fast bass type song (muddy), since its signature ~ tend to slow and not deep (probably just 50~55hz), i think initial design of it is try to maintain balance between gaming/movie and music to be all-rounder, but obviously cause it not an impressive product among its class (especially since sp2500 available, based on its comment in forum, but can sense it is a strong competitor, at least bass department performance better and deeper)

but then, there still got focal xs 2.1,b&w mm1, aktimate micro, bose c5 all come with int dac with usb connection, which show z cinema itself is a failure product
