I am not sure how well you maintained ur Vios, but mine is 9 yrs old this year, clocked more than 200k km, it undergo normal maintenance and yet its throttle body has not fail me (yet) , gearboz is as smooth as ever (i had a cooler installed) since 5 yrs back and changed 2 set of absorbers. The only problem is the rpm not showing accurate as i had screwed while fiddling with it .

And most ppl whom sat in the car would not believe its 9 yrs old, quiet, smooth, no rattling sound, low maintenance, reliable and fuel efficient .

Where electric motors and batteries is concerned, i placed my trust more on Toyota than on Honda as they have a an electric forklift/trucks division and their products has been in the market for more than 30 years and is market leader in the industry they compete. With that kinda experience, its gives u the confidence..........
