Anyway, besides The Hunger Games series, I would suggest you to check out these books as well: His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman, The Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer, and if you haven't checked out the Harry potter series, PLEASE GO AND READ IT LIKE RIGHT NOW.

If you're up to the standards, I think that 'grown-up' books are good reads too. I would suggest authors such as David Baldacci and Jeffrey Archer, both great authors. Oh, and if possible, check out books by John Green as well. His new book, The Fault In Our Stars, was just released last month. From his vlogs on YouTube, he has said that all first copies of the books WILL be signed by him. Don't know if that's the case over here in Malaysia.

For Chinese, I don't really read Chinese books but I would recommend Giddens, also known as 九把刀, author of the famous movie "You are The Apple in My Eye". (那些年, 我们一起追的女孩)
