New CM690..... just get it today....

Nice price for the CM690 and the internal seems to be really good. The only down side - Side Panel Window.

Guess you need to send to Uncle for modding to make it into something nicer..Other than that, nice casing with great price. If only it would be aluminum, that would be perfect..LOL..

Erm the weight is a bit heavy compare to C5, as the part i like bout this casing is u can install 2x120mm fan on top for input o exhaust.... ^^
All CM690 in malaysia come with the side panel.... the side panel design is a bit weird... hahaa... overalll this might be better than C5... as the air flow in this casing is much better and tool free installation for all HDD n CDROM.... grab it now guys if u love this baby.....

Is almost same like CM5...... IMO...
all CM690 is come with the front USB and Audio...... =)

Btw.. some additional info...yesterday juz bought a 80mm fan thought of install it behind the mobo area... but then oni notice it support 80mmx15mm fan... zzzzz.... wasted money on VIZO 80mmx25mm fan... damn.... hahaa....

The case definitely a fantastic piece of work .. lots of feature that added ...

however the down side would be the rather stiff side panel, the location of the PSU ...

the location of the PSU is a really down factor, when it's located at the bottom it would be hard to hide those cables ... it has to route from bottom to top ..especially the 4 or 8 pins mobo power... then comes the 24 pin atx power as well...

so it would be just perfect if this is a BTX style case ... then all the problems would be eliminated...

hhaha it's still a firm case after all, most reviews gave quite a good rating ...

    id love to know what kind of temperatures ur getting for ur cpu, gpu & mobo, with ur cm 690 setup. btw, what ram cooler is that ur using.. & is it possible to remove the hdd cage in the cm 690? thx in advance..

well seems cooling is pretty good.. is it noisy with all those fans & mesh panels.. plus dust could be an issue. really2 tempted to replace my the ammo 533 with this..

The HDD cage cannot be removed.. though i dont really see that as a problem... And yea, i got my ram cooler from AllnGap, the best performing ram coolers and the cheapest among em all Not to mention you can barely hear the noise at all.

As for the temps, only minor improvement overall from my previous C5(with 2 80mm modded blowhole). But heck, its all 120mm fan and its SILENT. But if compared to a standard non-modded C5, this ought to perform way better.

Dust wont be an issue for the top 2 120mm fans. Normally, the dust only builds up from the intake, not the exhaust. You can easily remove the mesh and wash/dust it.

For airflow in my case i choose exhaust more than intake, simply because the whole front panel is mesh designed which means air can be pulled in easily from anywhere on the front. Currently, only 1 fan on the HDD, and 3 exhaust (1 back, 2 top). I personally think that the 2 120mm fan on top as exhaust is pretty ideal as air will travel up in the case.
