heya guys. juz decided to join u guys here eventho got my cavalier T01+sidepanel last year for RM330 from Robyncom.

This is how it looks from the inside when I firstly bought it n stuff everything into it


Next is how it looks like when I started my *incomplete* UV setup + cable mgmt.


And this one is how it looks now.






I tried my best in managing the cable inside there and even cut a hole in the 5" bay (1 of the 2 bays used by the GateWatch) so dat it won't be visible to others. It also means dat, dat bay kenot be used anymo la. One sacrificed bay for cable management purposes only.

gez I'll reroute the blue sata connector juz like wat i did to the grey sata connector for the upper harddisk then..

no point having long sata connector, in my case, ryt? juz made it harder to manage since the location of the sata hdd very near to sata ports on the mobo.

btw, wats the shortest sata cable we can get ar? (at this moment, i gez other ppl r looking for the longest sata connector available in the market...)uuhuhu.

er, I almost cut the silver sleevings n try remove it. but, my sifoo (D^Addario) said, where the hell to get dat silver shielding other than stock manufactured? so, for better or worst, I bare wif dat hard-almost unbendable-silver shielding. urgh...

/me sacrificed a lot of "peluh jantan" to re-route dat silver cable..

yeap j05h, realy would like to see how u reroute it.. and the sata to mobo cable. i can only manage to do like this.



er, how spacious is the back of ya mobo tray? cavalier n centurion 5 has the same chassis ryt?

Silon, datz one hell of an acoustic foam u got there maaaan~ nice2. very DIY. er, can u show d pic fr the side of the casing... I'm alwiz eager to see from the side ar. lyk sum say, "Keratan rentas is everything." ..

btw, dat sata cable project is suppose to look better if not totally wicked lyk the one Top Nurse did in Bit-Tech forum, but, eheh, this is wat happen when a noob tryin to follow a pro's footstep. but hey, so far, I'm happy wif my own workmanship.. aint charging nobody for d piece of art we did for ourselves aite mate?

yeah man, d red sleeve realy got to go. uhuhuhu. Sadly, my Abit AN8 is equipped wif red LEDs on the status indicator as well as the mosfet. does anybody knows how to disable those LED fr blinking? uhuhuhuhuh. I'm going wif an Orange+blue UV setup as soon as the sleevings I ordered reach my doorstep.. n I do wish Abit comes out wif a black mobo PCB, instead of RED.

Ay, u r lucky to have an unsleeved PSU,in this case. My enermax has factory sleeved shieldings dat makes it impossible to bend it into the gap near the PSU. n even it is successfully bended, the size of the sleeves will juz leave a BULGE on my right side panel. sigh~

aahahhaa, n ya sata cable, realy looks fat eh in the sleeve. itz a great way to fold em into the sleeve to make it shorter, but i still prefer my wires look lyk worms, rather than a slug.. uhuuhuhuhuh. i myt wanna try ya method later on tho.

owh, itz the 3in4 bay module. eiyh, our chassis can fit dat ar? if can, still mine kenot liao. got the gatewatch n dvd-rw in the bays. only 2 more bays to spare. sigh~

pls do inform me too if u found a rounded pata cable wif only 1 pata head. realy hard to find ar. mine oso, hafta hide d 2nd head.. not using it liao.. uhuhhuh

mesh like sleeving kit = normal sleeving kit, lyk those from Vantec and Uglyvamp's. I wonder how normal is the normal sleeving kit u r referring to.

Vantec's sleeving kit (blue, black, red(uv), yellow(uv), green(uv) )is about RM40 at shops in LYN (not many selling tho..n if they do sell, only some colors). but u can find much cheaper ones lyk those sold in the bulk section of this forum. try to search around. keyword:: VANTEC . as for the shops, the common ones will be Overclocker's Paradise (OP), Robyncom, AllIT and Sri Computer.

the same applies for UV Molex.. shop more expensive..Robyncom n OP got tonnes of em. LED Molex, saw in OP n RObyn too. Unless u dun realy trust forumers here,then u betta get those from the shops. but hey, u can neva get prices as dirt cheap as forumer's here are offering.. myt wanna check Uglyvamp's stuff too..

Assuming u r one of us (*ehem, CM casing owner), pls do post ya complete UV rig later on, k?

owh, come to think of it, mebbe rainingzero was referring to heatshrink?? some wires especially electric devices are sleeved dat way ryt? ahahaha.

dat kinda sleeve, er, how to say ar, juz not nice to be shown to others from the sidepanel ar. no aesthetic value.. to me, when i want to sleeve, juz make sure itz also attractive, other than better cable management.

ericmaxman, from my previous UV project, I located one 30cm ccfl at the bottomof the casing, and another one on the innerpart of the sidepanel, juz beside the screws holding the acrylic layer. double sided tape bundled wif the ccfl is needed for dat ar.. or if u dun mind, juz throw in the ccfl without adjusting it. (datz wat my housemate did...uuhuhuhuh).. but yeah, Doom's suggestion is recommended 1st. I myt wanna get sum fresh ideas from forumer here too..

This is how it looks like when I put the ccfl at the top n bottom. very2 dark effect.. sigh in my case, the top ccfl's ray is blocked by my PSU and HSF.. sigh!~

this one makes it obvious dat sumthing is hot at the mosfet area, burning my Freezer64. uuhuhuhuh

i didnt put it at the back of the casing (the exhaust fan area) ar... I stickd em on the sidepanel. hope dat helps..

u can juz gulung2 it n let it rest in the space on the right side of ya casing. there is a small space between the hdd rack and right side panel ryt? ehehehe
does kn8 ultra use daughter-card for audio? u myt wanna read the mobo manual of connectin it to dat daughter-card. itz very simple, i tried it b4. but since using the front audio panel requires a wire to cross from front the back of the casing, i decided not to use it leh..
