the weird thing is that when i changed to Lian Li V-600 hmm.gif that has the same amount of intake/exhaust fan with the centurion, doesn't has any air flow problem, wonder why hmm.gif hmm.gif hmm.gif

I think is the design problem. Lian-li v600 uses the upside down design similar to BTX, which has better heat dissipation. In addition, there are 2 12cm fans in v600, as compared to centurion's 1 12cm exhaust fan and 1 8cm intake fan.

errr, sori la, i didn't state my centurion model, i didn't use the centurion 5, i used the centurion 534, so have the same intake/exhaust fan, one front 120mm fan + 2 exhaust fan (one rear 120mm fan & psu exhaust fan)

still wondering what makes the temp drop & better air flow, everything the same except the casing itself....

hmm.gif then it's weird. So construction material does play an important role after all? unsure.gif

dunno bout that cause some say the material itself doesn't help the temps cause no direct contact to the hardware for dissipating the heat & somemore the material totally doesn't helps the air flow as it determines by ur fans & cable management...

btw, another thing that changed from my last casing is that i add another 2 hdd, making 3 in total, so currently all my hdd drive is full already, this making the air flow been block but not totally block...

That's what i thought. Since there's no direct contact with the components, it shouldn't affect the temp at all.

Anyway, if hdd cage is fully occupied, shouldn't the temp be worst? You are using lian li v600 now right?

yup, but seriously i dunno what makes the temp drop, i also thought the temp gonna rise if i add another 2 hdd, but it didn't at all, no increase/decrease in temp... this means that the case has an excellent air flow drool.gif

heh, better stop discussing this, we are way off topic here, let's stop b4 bro ianho get mad notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

My vote will got to CM 53+ series as it comes with dual 12CM fan ...other than that both series are similar such as tool less design and HDD cage...

size are also similar ... the design of side panel is a bit different for non window version.

I think is ok to discuss here. We are just comparing air flows of different casings. smile.gif

wouldn't the HDD cage area causes noise ??

i had CM530 last time and i really hate when the 12CM fan is place at the front for front intake as it makes a lot of noise .. in the end i remove the cage and it becomes much more silence...

anyway not using the case anymore ... transfer to another owner...

yup, it does, the front intake fan is noisier than rear exhaust fan even they both are the same model fan...

the fan is too close to the fan filter, that's causing the noise...

anyway, will try to further the distance for it to lessen the noise, cause when i take out the fan filter the noise reduced a lot, being almost dead silent like the rear fan...

any idea how i can furter the distance? (except using the fan silencer by Sunbeam or other brand) hands.gif

I think shark is better in terms of cooling, as it is bigger than the mystique. However, mystique pawns shark in terms of design.
