my dad just bought a new car and he gave me his MyVi, since that it's already 5 years old, problems are existing and some of them are really irritating. @@
Problems :
1. dashboard is having 'kok-kok-kok' sound when i drive through an uneven road. 2. fog lamps' clip are broken 3. handling is really not my cup of tea, body roll (is it the correct term? @@) is kinda obvious even when i'm on low speed. 4. sound of compressor kicking in is making me uncomfortable.
Solutions :
1. still finding it, couldnt find the source though. 2. change a new pair of fog lamp 3. heard that changing to 15' Rims, new set of suspension, anti roll bar will help? is it? @@ 4. kl autofoam can solve it? how's the price and workmanship? good and reasonable?
really hope that all daigors here can help me out. thanks first!!

QUOTE(ikiey @ Dec 27 2011, 11:16 PM) Bro, problem num 4 cannot be solved b foaming ur car... Foaming is actually to increase ur car's rigidity... Sound of compressor cutting in u cant do much, because myvi's fan quite loud.. Better noise insulation can help u i think... i thought the foaming is a way to insulate the noise?

btw, changing to 15' rims, adding front struct bar + anti roll bar, large pot brake kit and changing suspensions, will it be increasing the handling a lot? i dont really like the handling now. for instance, body roll is kinda obvious even in low speed.

QUOTE(canho @ Dec 27 2011, 11:47 PM) You need take a balance on overall, power and handling... Larger wheels and tires size sure will increase handling but sure will lose power as well. Personal suggest is take a balancing and look something you like. power is not really my concern though as manual is serving me good, losing a bit is ok as i dont use MyVi to be like a RACE CAR as those youngsters did on highway.

QUOTE(ikiey @ Dec 27 2011, 11:57 PM) After i change to wider tires, my top speed drop 190kmh to around 180kmh(same distance accelerate, but think it have a bit more go, but dare not try cuz acceleration was getting really slow n need longer straight)... Not only the width is important, whats important is also the tire's rolling resistant... Higher rolling resistant tires surely will sap more power from our tiny engine... LOL, then i think i'm a very polite driver, never exceed 110 before. QUOTE(ikiey @ Dec 28 2011, 12:00 AM) Hehehe, price damn expensive...starts from 980 rite...?? I did mine at icecube's place Added on December 28, 2011, 12:01 amAdoi Bro, city driving 1.3 will give better FC Bro can pm me the address and the price? XD it starts from 680 now.

You know what, 1.5 extreme is the best MyVi I've seen for far. Always wondering when will it transform into bumblebee. btw, how much do rims cost? 15' rims and tyres. 1k to 1.5k, any good choice within this range?

i'm living in ipoh so city drive really means city drive without all those highway. @@ maybe my FC is bad because of the small roads and braking all the time? when i'm driving in kl this month, it can reach 400-450km.

QUOTE(canho @ Dec 28 2011, 08:00 PM) No worry about stock suspension setup, is soft enough and comfortable as your request. But just suggest install a rear anti roll bar for less body roll when take a high speed corner. Added on December 28, 2011, 8:05 pmI have a better ideal to get a better FC when in highway, Just following behind a bus, sure will get low wind block from bus behind but for sure is dangerous because bus block front view of the road. XD need for speed?

recently, since that i'm living in kl now, the FC for me is quite good. full tank can take me for about 400-450km. =D
but, when i go back to ipoh, the REAL city drive, i can make it for about 350 only. = =
